Styling! YOU ARE SO RIGHT. The preparation can go on for months to bring a concept to reality. This element of the shoot is the most important for the "look". Sourcing costumes and props we use Amazon to keep the project within budget.
Hi! I'm trying to figure out what gear do I need to start :) I also have Sony A7III. Already got Godox TT600s and X2T-S in my cart, but stuck upon choosing a swivel bracket. There's some popular one Anwenk thing on Amazon, but I'm not sure if it'll fit with all the Sony things. Could you help? ☺️
I noticed a lot of these beach/swimsuit photographers just use a standard reflector as a modifier, I'm guessing to get that contrasty pop on bright day but also because the beach is always so windy they don't have to worry about it blowing away. Great video and suggestions. Also I appreciate the recommendation on using geometrical shapes in both outdoor and studio shots, great tip!
I'm Brazilian and I follow your videos when you have subtitles, TH-cam automatically translates for us and that helps a lot. If you can post with caption I would appreciate it very much. Thank you very much for the videos you have already posted, you are an amazing photographer
Great video. Bizarre question but what do you use to attach the softbox mount to the monopod? I use an s type bracket for Godox but the connector I use to the monopod is not the best and always comes loose!
@@EliInfante I wanna ask you some questions about potrait in skin retouching I wanna use an iphone like iphone x or 11 to take potrait photos then Then export it to my laptop photoshop software And edit them Like your youtube tutorials what do you think of these 🙏🙏🤔🤔
one of these days Ill fly out to you and participate in one your shoots! dont know what you charge for that! I can be the flash man be more then happy to do that.
Your comments on pre-production and planning need to be stated much more often. Getting caught up in the gear really doesn't help you figure out how to make an image. I do love my gear and specs, but I learn so much more when I hear about the journey and how it comes together. Thanks!
It always happens to me! When I capture a great image, there’s always someone that says that “I must have an amazing camera”. Yea, the camera may take crystal clear shots, but the person behind the camera needs to understand how to capture the shot. The camera is just a tool basically. If they don’t understand the tool, then it’s useless. I’m Mexican and you know how Mexicans are to each other lol I shoot with the a7III, by the way.
Efrain M, then sell your a73 and get an a72 if its not all about the gears. An a7iii was used along with Sigma's best DN 35 mm F/1.2 mirrorless lens to capture these shots. And then you need a flash strobe that has HSS that can synch at least at 1/4,000. You can't just use a regular flash strobe that syncs at 1/200 to get this incredible shot. All 3 of these gears is what needed to capture the shot without blowing out the highlights, without losing that crystal sharp images and most of all, without losing that eye-autofocus. You really need to stop saying the camera is a just a tool rather the tool provided you what you needed to get the shots you desired.
@@harryvuemedia wow, didn’t mean to hurt your feelings! I have been shooting for about 3 years. I understand all of this and I did watch the entire video. Also, by you telling me to downgrade to an a7II won’t work because I started out with an a6000, which I still use to this day. The reason I upgraded to an a7III was for the features that my a6000 lacked. I can tell you that I have captured amazing images with that camera as well. In fact, one of my favorite images that I captured was using the a6000. I wasn’t saying that gear wasn’t important, but what is more important is the ability to compose the shot and understand how light works. Trust me, I have done my homework.
@@IronSaiyan7 Yeah, you proved all my points right. Every time I hear someone says "gears do not matter, its the photographer that matters", when in reality, they do matter. Those cameras or tools as you said it, were made because its was us the users that wanted these features. We wanted more mega pixels, faster autofocus, accurate autofocus, more dynamic range stops, and so on. Sony listened and gave it to us as it improves its cameras model after model. You can setup your frame, compose it and understand how light works, but if your camera cannot capture what you wanted, then you're not going to get the image you wanted. Not every tool can capture the image you want.

Just one question. Did you at all clone out or remove the softbox or were you close enough where your frame didn’t show the light?

Let me know Jay! That would be a blast :)
Needs a bigger light modifier. Bright face and dark feet.
I agree. If I could do it again I would have pulled the modifier back a little bit further. :)
Why use a 1.2 lens when you are getting so much in focus. Wouldn't a 1.8 or 2.8 be sufficient since you are not shooting wide open?
Great point Fred! The 1.2 lens is great for when I do want to blur out the background. :)
you should do a video on editing harry styles 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻!!!!
