Danke Raimund. Ich habe mir überlegt nächstes Jahr für eine bestimmte Zeit Mönch zu werden. Deine Worte inspirieren mich sehr.

Dear Bhawna Thakur, thank you for your request. According to the Buddhist Vinaya every aspirant of the buddhist monastic ordination must have the agreement of their parents in order to ordain. My parents first did not agree but with the time they did. I would suggest you live the life of a good practitioner of the Dhamma following the lay precepts along with every renunciation of worldly life as is possible for you. In time, your surroundings and family will appreciate your intentions and support you. Try to connect to a buddhist monastery or Sangha and let time and aspiration guide your way. All good that we really aspire by living a dedicated life for our welfare and the welfare of others will finally have their good results if we are patient and honest. All the best to you!! Raimund Hopf
