Same here - Jan has always been a favorite and based on the outpouring of well wishes and praise, it’s easy to see Jan as one of Stampin up’s best and most beloved card makers!
I am so thrilled that you are back!! First of all, that you are much improved from whatever illness you had, and secondly because I believe you are one of the most talented cardmaker I have "met" on You tube. Welcome back!
Hi Jan so glad you are back teaching us, you were one of the very first demonstrators I started watching, so have missed you, so glad you are feeling better and looking forward to seeing more of your gorgeous cards, cheers from Melbourne
Jan B - I am so thankful you are feeling like making cards again. Prayers are powerful & you have had plenty of prayers flowing for you. Do not push yourself too hard & just go at a comfortable pace that works for you. I think it is great that you are using supplies you have on hand. These cards are lovely. It is a blessing to have you here to craft. 🙏 thanks for sharing these lovely cards. 🙏👏👏👏💕🌻💐 Jan I still struggle with the seal… I mostly use tombow with the green lid.
Brilliant Butterflies will always remain in my stash. I am so glad the Perennial Lavender DSP is carrying over. It's one of my favorites. What an easy design. Thanks for sharing, JanB! I am so glad to see you back doing what you love.
So overjoyed that you're back again! You have been sorely missed. Not just for the wonderful way that you present your demo's, but because of how you make them so easy to replicate. Kudos to you, Jan!!!
Very nice cards. Simple technique but so beautiful. Thanks also for showing that variation at the end. Very inspiring. And thank you again for including it in cm. Greetings from Belgium
I had cut back my TH-cam viewing, so I did not know that you had been sick. I’m assuming from what you’ve said you had cancer. I’m happy to hear that you are doing better and getting stronger. Your videos have always been GREAT and I hope you are able to continue Your business.
Many thanks. Yes, it was cancer but I've been given the all-clear at my last two quarterly check-ups! Praise the Lord. Yes, I'm trying to build my business back up to what it was like before I had my battle! xx
I agree - use what you have, retired or not! I was just searching tonight for samples using Hello Cupcake which surely was retired years ago - so glad she is back!
It is so great to see you on here again and with another beautiful card layout. It is just so wonderful to know you are feeling better and gaining strength back and you are able to record and craft your beautiful cards once again. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. Your voice is so calming and you always make me feel better just listening to you!!! God bless.
I really do like these cards and the triangle cuts. I love cards that has different dsp on the fronts. I’m really glad you’re back, I’ve missed watching you create beautiful cards.
Hi Jan, I’m so glad you’re feeling better! It is a joy to see your videos again. Wishing you a continued recovery. Your cards today are wonderful! I actually love seeing retired items because we all have them and love seeing new ideas. Thank you for the inspiration!
Oh my goodness - I happened upon one of your cards on Pinterest and was instantly sad that I had not seen your posts in almost 2 years. I visited your blog and was absolutely thrilled to discover an April 2024 blog post 🎉🎉🎉 welcome back dear Jan - you and your charming videos and card making have been sorely missed! ❤❤❤
Lovely cards, i'm sure majority of viewers will own returned products. Always nice to learn different ways to make cards, more ideas how to use retired stamps, dies, card and paper. 😊
I’m so glad you are back, I really enjoy your content, your cards are just beautiful. I’m glad you are better. I’m looking forward to many more beautiful cards created by you
I love this design. I think it will look great as a Christmas card also. I was so happy to see a video this morning! So glad you are back doing what you enjoy and sharing it with us.
Again, so glad to see you back and doing so well. I don't care if what you use is old, new or in between...it is the technique that I am interested in.
Greetings Jan --- great to see you again :) !!! --- so happy that you are feeling much better and doing what you love to do :) --- had to watch this video on Tuesday (today) because my computer decided it needed a hoilday --- SIGH -- continued prayers and thoughts your way Jan and for your hubby --- do take care and rest when ever you need to --- HUGE HUGS --- Ann
I am trilled to hear that you are so much better. I have missed seeing a new video each week, but I have watched your previous videos many, many times over the past 18+ months. I need to make two thank you cards and I am going to CASE this video. Thank you Jan, from Virginia, USA.💕
I still have DSP and inks from the very first In-Colors à long time ago…i love going back in my stash and finding old favorites! So happy to know you’re feeling better and getting back into stamping. You’ve been missed.
Hi from Australia..I love your videos… your instructions are clear and your measurements suit our Aussie card stock…I save all your videos to use as tutorials…thank you
Glad you are back and as I do not have the paperrs or stamps that you use most of your designs I can adapt to use the papers and stamps in my stash which I really appreciate
This is a lovely card. It’s inspiring me to use up some of my stash of retired dsp! Jan, you are the first TH-camr I subscribed to 5 years ago when I got back into card making, and during the pandemic especially I looked forward to your new video every week. I’m so glad that you’re back! And glad that your health is improving.
Love this style of card that you've made. Thank you for sharing. You've been a great miss, Sunday mornings just haven't been the same. Every Sunday at 7am you'd kick start my day and I'd watch your video. Getting some sort of normality must aid in your recovery a positive focus for you. I'm not a one for pestering people but I've regularly sent healing thought your way 😊 x
Welcome back Jan. The cards are beautiful. It looks like the Stamp n Seal is the replacement for the old Fast Fuse which I bought a ton of it when they said it was being retired years ago because I loved it. I have been using it sparingly for years. Now I don’t have to. I’m excited to try it.
Lovely selection of cards Jan. On the point of retired items if we as crafters were not going to use stamp and dies sets after they are retired/discontinued it wouldn't be worth buying them to ensure value for money. I have not bought any Stampin up products as they are out of my price range (nice as they are) but of the crafting papers, dies and stamps I do have in my stash I would not stop using them just because they are no longer available. So please don't apologise for using products in your stash as they are there to be used.
Oh, Jan, I am so happy you are feeling well enough to do a few videos! I have truly missed you, but looked at lots of your videos while you were dealing with your health. I checked for new videos, comments in IG, hoping to see news about you. I did see you were getting rid of some of your stash. It was nice to see you and hubby. Keep recovering! Maymay is a friend of mine! She’ll be excited you presented one of her cards! Regards.
You’re so welcome! I also learned a new dimensionals trick. On the side that has the backings, apply clear packing tape (probably two strips to cover the surface) then when you pull up the tape, the backings are attached to the tape. Lift only to remove what you need then put the tape back down. All the backings stay with the tape and no longer hitch a ride on your slippers and travel throughout the house! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽
Great tip on the silicone mat - one of the very reasons I don’t use tape runners - I’ll give it a try as I masses a large collection before I discovered a wet glue that I love!
Hi. I don't know which country you're in but the measurements are laid out as: UK ins (UK cms) North American ins. For this card: 3⅝” x 5¼” (9.3cm x 13.4cm) US 3¾” x 5”. Hello Donna, how're you....
I find it is easier to use the silicone matt to restart my tape runner instead of my finger, faster too. Butterfly Brilliance. 😉
Thanks, Sherri. I'll give it a go. xx
