Excellent work Davros would be proud. I built my renegade black supreme Dalek from the movie he took three years to build and still isn't finished I keep coming up with new ways to improve him. He has a stripped down electric wheelchair to move him about and a CO2 fire extinguisher connected to the gun. We should start a band I'm a lead guitarist.🤣🤣
Many thanks! I'm building another Dalek now and intend to get that one motorised, probably with remote control. Good to see someone else who likes Dalek building and music! 😀
Well, I'm impressed, that's amazing!! I like how it feels like the music is building momentum right along with the Dalek, very cool. Definitely will be sharing this with some friends who are Doctor Who fans
Thank you, I've been fascinated with them since I was a kid. I was about seven when I wanted to build one, so it was good to actually do that many years later. 😃
Nice job, I built one back in the 90's, aluminium instead of steel would of been a better choice for lightness and looks for arms and armour plates around the shoulders, but still a great job
You made a very nice job of that. How easy is it to use your feet to walk through that small gap? I'm hoping the answer is "easily" because I don't want the expense and faff of fitting a motorised base if I build one.
This is a very impressive. I never thought of using a small oven to mold the hemis. The gold Daleks are probably my second favourite design. Might I ask what bit you used on your router to get the required chamfer on the neck rings?
They actually did the supreme dalek from day of the daleks and the one in Looney Tunes Back In Action is based off the gold dalek from Daleks’ invasion earth: 2150 AD
As a hobbyist builder, I've no idea I'm afraid. I know there's a company called "This Planet Earth" who builds Daleks and other full size prop replicas.

Amazing, this deserves way more likes!
Many thanks, there will be another finished very soon.

Thanks Rey, it was such good fun that I'm now building a second Dalek. Hope you have a safe and happy Christmas.
@@BrendanPerkins Ah that would be cool! Thank you, have a safe and happy Christmas as well!
Ex-cel-lent!
Beautiful work, thank you for sharing
Thank you for watching 😀
Brilliant build mate!
Thank you.
painting the dome gold really brought the dalek together! nicely done
Thank you
Wow, great job, always loved the Daleks in Doctor Who, it was the only time I watched the series when they were on
Thank you, I've been fascinated with them since I was a kid. I was about seven when I wanted to build one, so it was good to actually do that many years later. 😃
Looks great!

Thank you, I've used aluminium on my second Dalek build. Much better.
A Dalek builder who plays n a Ricky bass? TOP MAN!!
Thanks, both are very good fun! 😀
You made a very nice job of that.
How easy is it to use your feet to walk through that small gap?
I'm hoping the answer is "easily" because I don't want the expense and faff of fitting a motorised base if I build one.
Thank you. Unfortunately it was never meant to have a person inside it, built with the intention of motorising with remote control.
very nice build well done
Thank you.
just going to build well should say try to build my first Dalek fingers crossed
Good luck, once you get started it's really good fun!
@@BrendanPerkins cheers i will send a video of the building should take about 10 years i think LOL
Awesome! It's addictive though, I'm building my second Dalek now! 😃
Great job and can you let me know where you got the lights from thanks
Thanks, I managed to get some Wipac Land rover indicator lights from Ebay, I think they're still available on there.
golden boi
man i really wish i was rich or was good at building to make my own Dalek
Boss
To what length would the lower collar overhang the skirt panels, both on the TV props and on your expert recreation here?
Thank you, the lower collar overhangs the skirt top by 30mm (1.181 inches) on the vertical plane.
@@BrendanPerkins - you’re kind to answer me so fast, thank you! 🙏

Thank you. I recall using a standard 45 degrees router bit and lots of sanding because it didn't quite cut the full thickness of the mdf.
Are you the same Brendan P from the bigclive streams?
Hi Jimmy, yes I've chatted on Clive's streams before. Usually after a "dark n stormy" or two. 🥃
@@BrendanPerkins excellent
Nice to see another BCDC dalek builder too. Mines a genesis.
You would Customize the Dalek To see what It looks like From Looney tunes back in action

Yeah?
What plans did you use? And how tall did the dalek end up?
I used the Shawcraft plans from projectdalek.com and the Dalek is 5ft tall.
@@BrendanPerkins mk3?
So, just out of curiosity (and maybe actually following through), how much would you say it would cost to commission?
As a hobbyist builder, I've no idea I'm afraid. I know there's a company called "This Planet Earth" who builds Daleks and other full size prop replicas.
i don't see why you cant 3d print the rond part
On my second Dalek I've cheated a bit and bought the dome and hemis pre fabricated. So much easier! 😃
