How did this many lawyers have time for a mock trial over the custody of a cat?? I mean it’s hilarious but still
Great point. On average those lawyers probably bill their clients $250 an hour. That’s like $10,000 an hour they’re losing by wasting time on this
Because it’s TV, that’s not a common thing in law firms. Most of the time, it’s held at a university and prestigious lawyers and judges may sit in but most of them are typically retired, in on their off day, or being paid by the university to sit in but one thing’s for sure THEY ARENT LOSING MONEY!
They’re actually not wasting time and while they’re in there, an army of paralegals and other associates are racking up billable hours on their behalf. I would wager that while the majority of the lawyers in that room are junior partners, they’re the top candidates to be offered senior partnerships. They’re probably overseeing ten or more cases each, and probably billing upwards of ten grand a day. Each of the senior partners oversees a stable of Junior partners, plus their own clients. A guy like Harvey might have hundreds of clients where he’s the attorney of record but he’s never even met them. The associates in a large law firm do most of the lawyering, but the partners are aware of what cases they’re working on and they do actively advise them on strategy.

This was the best show on TV at that time, it's a shame the writing on it became progressively bad.
The writing was actually bad from the beginning. It was entertaining for different reasons.

I guess Elliot sold Gray Matter and changed his identity to get away from the two best hit men west of the Mississippi.
Anyone else always get confused when she says he left off a 0 and cost the client $900,000? Dropping a zero should always change by a factor of 10.
If a client wins say 1000000$ in settlement and Harold forgets to add a 0 it will become 100000$ meaning the client lost 900000$.
I can’t stand Harold. He’s just too weak and just can’t cut it, yet he pretends all of his “abuse” from Louis was unjustified.
