You're missing the 1996, I think, Wooden Railway Stepney. He's a lot more skinnier than the later 2007, I think, Stepney - the one you have two of.
The later one is from 2003
Stepney is one of my favorite characters from season 4! I wished he had more love in the show! I have both Take 'n' Play and Trackmaster versions of Stepney! ❤❤❤❤
Oh my gosh I am so happy you just posted this
your tomy stepney is actually a mattel one! you can tell by the wheels having those extra holes in them, tomy hit and mattel all did stepney and in my experience with collecting hit stepney is the rarest of the three. hit toys only really existed for three to four years depending on your regin so those are worth coveting. :)
The 1996 Thomas Wooden Railway Stepney has a better proportioned boiler and firebox than the one sold from 2003 to 2008. I grew up with a trackmaster Stepney before donating my trackmaster when I got out of TTTE
Hey, Train Tsar! I have a 2008 Take Along model of Stepney and I even used it as part of my stop motion project in college which is a prologue where he had a word with Sir Topham Hatt to come back and visit Sodor.
Thanks for another amazing video trains tsar. The only Stepney merchandise that you are missing are the brio Stepney and the DE agostini Stepney.😊
Thanks for the info
@@TrainTsarFun no problem
Train Tsar Fun, I really enjoyed watching this, so I hit the like button!
The Tomy version of Stepney is a different shade of yellow and also has a different face than the Trackmaster version.
There's also an older version of Wooden Stepney, and Brio version.
You take along Stepney is from the rarer engine ID 4-pack. It has brassy magnets and a symbol on the bottom which means it can be recognized by the Take Along Knapford Station set. The Takle Along lights and sounds engines also have brassy engine ID magnets. There is a 2013 Take n Play Stepney which I own.
Thanks! I e ordered some more wooden versions. Trying to figure out those take along versions.
Great collection of Stepney. I'm not sure if there's another Ertl Stepney type, maybe there's one with a U coupler (I think that's its name?) I've never seen one but I feel like there would be one.
There is a take n play Stepney too
As for ones you're missing off the top of my head there's the take n play Stepney, original Wooden Railway one that's more skinnier (and looks so much better imo) and the Brio version. There may be more but that's all I can think of right now
Just noticed your Trackmaster Stepney is missing it's middle set of wheels.
I don’t own a Trackmaster Stepney
But I guess you are the first to notice on that Tomy one.
there are a couple stepneys youre missing such as the orignial 1996 wooden one, the brio one and the pocket fantasy stepney, but those last 2 are somewhat hard to find
Thanks so much - just ordered a Brio from Australia and also hopefully the 1996.version
It looks like you're missing one particular Stepney, though that's alright, the pullback engines are kinda hard to track down
A pullback Stepney? Oh my
Cool collection! Have you ever thought about getting the real Stepney before (obviously not the real locomotive, but a model of the real locomotive 😂)? Also there are two older wooden ones you don’t have that are considerably different. The reason Stepney and Murdoch are not made in minis form is because nether of them had been in the show for around 10 years before minis was invented.
I haven’t thought too much about getting the models that the characters are based on. Maybe one day but my collection is already way out of control lol
@@TrainTsarFun oh okay! The reason I suggested it for Stepney in particular is because there is a locomotive in real life named Stepney that looks like Stepney from TTTE (similar to what they did with Flying Scotsman)!!
This is also why Mattel isn’t allowing Bachmann to make them.
There is a take n play Stepney it was made in 2013
Most Take Along and Take-n-Play vehicles post-2004 are usually dated to the year before they’re introduced, so Stepney would have been released in Take-n-Play in 2014.
Mine is barely functional. The tiny metal rod that goes through his wheels weren't fully connected "takara tomy Stepheny. Can you give suggestions on how to fix
Depending on if it’s broken - it might be best to get replacement parts from a similar locomotive that is cheaper. Hard to know
I've fully unscrewed it and still don't know the problem but thanks for the advice
I have a custom hornby Stepney
I Wish Bachmann Would Make A Stepney, A Lot Of People Have Been Requesting It.
Mattel unfortunately isn’t letting Bachmann make Stepney due to him not being relevant I’m afraid.
@@joshuaW5621 Well There Some Other Characters Bachmann Has Made That Aren’t Relivant Like S C Ruffrey And The Spiteful Brakevan
@@lachlantaylor4512 S.C. Ruffey was made years before the show switched to CGI. Plus both of them were easy to make as they’re just simple rolling stock. Mattel isn’t interested in permitting Bachmann to make the tooling for an engine who hasn’t been in the show for years.
@@joshuaW5621 It’s Not Just Stepney. There Also Requests For Other Minor Characters Like BoCo Arthur Murdoch & Harvey
@@lachlantaylor4512 Harvey is the only one who might be made since he appeared in CGI, but BoCo, Arthur and Murdoch would never get Mattel’s approval unless they returned. Mattel owns Thomas and they have a say on who Bachmann can make at the end of the day.
