@@beardedthriftmachine missed that cue...if I were to sell it.... I have a HUGE (25 in box) "trug" basket for a storage unit. Prices ranged one what I could actually find 100-300 I don't want to ship it so I threw it up for $250 on FB. Here I'd absolutely throw it up for 700. Firstdibs is a legit site but people get to price whatever they want. Think Tesla picker was talking about it.
I remember the Wendy's hat. My brother & Law was a manager. My father wore that exact hat. Must have been wildly mass produced. Mid to late 70"s definitely
Coming soon! - we tried to upload one twice and there is something wrong with the video or youtube it - it should be out Monday =) im working on it now
Thank you as one reseller to another for showing the reality of sourcing, this is how it is where I live, surrounded by hundreds of resellers , very difficult to source
Hello J &K. On a video this week-it was either the niche lady or crazy lamp lady- they google lensed a find and it came up on First Dibs. They disregarded the item’s selling price and said it was because it was on First Dibs. I know nothing about it but I trust these ladies so I thought I’d mention it. Good luck!
@@beardedthriftmachine I resell a lot of mid-century stuff outside of ebay, furniture etc. What I have found is that First dibs is probably double or 2/3s more of what I can typically get for items. its really the premium site for selling stuff from dealers.
1st dibs is awesome it's a high end auction site and that's where I go to for a lot of prices from a high end antique and vintage items.. Honestly I had a rare Crown trifari by Alfred Phillipe flag brooch and I almost sold it for what the sold Comps ebay and worth point and that would have put me at $50 I sold it for $350 Based on 1st dibs Comps..ps shipped box and as ALWAYS ITS A AWESOME VIDEOS 👍 I wouldn't clean that umbrella holder I would just use a soft cloth and wipe it down.. When I was at the antiques road show it's one of the major things I kept hearing is when people would clean items it took the value away..
@Bearded Thrift Machine No Thank you for all of your awesome and informative videos..and how kind you and wife are truly on and off video..your a blessing to many..
1stDibs prices are about 10 times higher than what they sell for. Don’t go by their prices. I can sell a hutch I have for $125.00 that’s listed on 1st Dibs for $1500.00. However; most people don’t know they can sell their items on 1st Dibs so I guess you could list it there for lower than the one that’s already listed.
That “long” shirt was a “tall” shirt. Example: Eddie Bauer tshirts are very popular. One reason is the quality but they offer them in regular and tall lengths. Just like sport coats and suits.
First Dibs prices high, same for Charish and a few others. However, I believe it is worth a few hundred dollars. May have to be patient, but it will sell high.
I am completely amazed you sell this stuff. i'm top rated and feel like id be stuck forever with that fish cup and copper vase, im lucky to sell 200 in a week and half don't pay. i hope you get the 7 hundo . another couple weeks eating grilled cheese for me
I’m trying to learn my stuff. I go to thrift store and hard to know exactly what’s good stuff. I’m sure I will get better in time but I spent a lot of time trying to look up comps at the store.
The curlers that were next to the vacuum that you didn't purchase were probably worth between $40-60 if they're what I think they are. Curls can be worth money 💰

I actually found one for a $1 but couldn’t remember if it was that or Palmetto Armory shirts, I know you like those Grunt Style tees and wear them. Thanks!!
People will buy things with a scratch or nic.after all. it is a second hand store. Some people might been looking for a item that has a small scratch it would not matter...😱
First dibs is probably the most expensive selling site in the world…it used by London interior designers when working with rich clients who pay no attention to prices. I would never use their prices as a guide…I m an antique dealer in Scotland of 26 years specialising in the Arts and Crafts movement so I kind of know what I m doing😊….yes it’s old and kind of hand made….but it’s still boring and pretty awful condition
Hobby Lobby is famous for charging way to much for their merchandise, especially considering the quality of their items. You should list as a best offer item, hopefully you'll get your money back. Good Luck. Thanks for the entertaining videos.
We are having some HUGE issues with one of our storage unit videos =) hopefully be out on Monday =) sorry we are 30 mins late =)
I hit the like button and said no allowed could not leave a comment either but I watched the video!!!!
@Kimberly McKee was that the storage unit one? It is acting wierd it keeps going live and ends itself... then says it's 3 days old
@@beardedthriftmachine yes
Under notifications it said this week
@Kimberly McKee can you still see the video or is it gone?
That duck looked like Tonala Art Pottery.
I'll have to look that up: )
You should recognize Tonala pottery, Kat loves it and talks about it all the time (before she became obsessed with WhatNot 😂😂)
6:03 that’s a shake weight. Hilarious commercials!
"I know nothing about a lot of things" Honesty at its best - You learn as you go 🥰

That's a Wendy's Jazz Cap! Those are super rad!
The vase is old. It's loaded with patina. Great find
i agree
I just simply love the Mexican duck. It is fantastic, great find. The umbrella stand is fantastic as well.
I hope the copper urn goes for a bunch of money, it is very cool and old looking. Thanks for sharing.
I hope so too - i think it does too - i dont think its new
The thunder buddies thing is from the movie Ted with the talking plush bear.
Turns out it actually sells for I think $20 plus shipping

Love the copper vessel and wool Marine coat! 👏🏻
=) thanks so much for watching!
Good find Kayla!!. on the wool coat! :)
The vase looks like a vintage Turkish piece. People would bring home lots and lots of pieces as souvenirs from the bazaars in the 60s and 70s.
Great video as always Julian and Kayla!! I always look forward to them!! They always make my day better!! :)
Thank you so much! And thanks for always watching!
