It made my day to wake up to ‘episode 1’ of The Trip! Fabulous shots of you leaving ‘Ludville’, and the aerial views of your destination harbors are a really nice touch. Great storytelling, great music, great editing. BTW, Bailey gives a big ‘paws up’ to Ollie for becoming such a brave sea dog. 🐾🥰
Let the journey begin so excited for you both the further you go the more relaxed you will feel and enjoy this adventure,my wife and I from Perth Australia are going to enjoy this with you all the way so buckle up and let’s ride
I can't wait to live this same experience. I'm a pretty "manly" dude. Heavily tattooed mechanic. But I've been dreaming about this for so long Im not 100% sure I'll be able to keep my emotions under control after the first day of realizing it's actually happening. We are moving to the coast in the spring, probably FL, to start boat training and by late 2024 we will be in the serious hunt for our boat, with a plan to start the loop spring of 25. Soooooo jealous. I'm new around here, and I really dig the vibe of your channel. Safe travels
AWESOME! Thank you for the great comment! When you set a goal and work hard and get to that day....the emotions are a real thing! and its all good! I wish you the best in your adventure....we are glad you are following along. Thank you very much!😀
I cant help but wonder about what this day must have been like for you. So full of joy and aspirations. I tip my hat to you. It is early am here in St.Louis Missouri. The day ahead for me will be full of normal things and everyday experiences. But in the back of my mind I will be shouting Fair Winds and Following Seas to you both as I emagin what it would be like to be in your shoes. Thanks again for working hard to keep us all in "The Loop" as this great adventure continues!
Wow that intro was awesome. Very excited for you guys. I have been keeping an eye out for Andromeda in the flotillas I have been watching (Mark and Mels channel) At the end of the video you mentioned “assigned” flotilla. What does that mean? There are times we would want to go at our own pace, some times faster sometimes slower.
Thank you! Great question! The "assigned flotillas" are only for 2023....we hope! They had 3 locks that were under repair most of the year. The commercial and recreational traffic was backlogged. When the locks opened the AGLC worked with the Corps to schedule us through the 3 locks in groups(flotillas). In a typical year you can go at your own pace with your own groups or solo if you wish. Thanks for the kind words!😀❤
Exactly! We saw many of them again, as we all stop at different places, which was nice. It was nice to keep seeing familiar boats. Following on nebo is fun too! to see where they are!

@@cruisingandromeda Got it, it’s probably just the three locks then everyone will find their pace.
