Thank you do much for the advice, my goal is to play D1 but I live in Dubai, so I don’t know how I could even get a college coaches attention from here, anyways I’m still working towards my goal. Thank you 🙏
You are welcome! I would just tell you that the internet is a beautiful thing. Most coaches have their email information online, and the number of international players in college basketball continues to grow every year. If you put together a well worded email with a highlight tape, you never know. Don't give up on your goal just because you aren't in America!
It is crazy how much you remind me of myself as an older person, our attitudes, the way we talk to coaches, our values, almost a mirror reflection of who I want to be as a person. Keep up the great videos!
2:50 could also show that you think you might never get another chance during the game to do the damn thing. Like there teammates may never look for him again. Cure for that, is don’t care, focus on D.
all are great tips for sure but on tip #2 when you said you can just get back on defense after you make a shot or do a spectacular play i feel like it depends on your personality there are some guys that just express their passion for the game differently than others say for instance like a russell westbrook or even a collin sexton who express fully how they feel then you have guys that no matter what don’t really express like kawhi or a jokic all depends on your personality
That is true and I think showing passion and energy when you play is good. But I honestly don't think any high school kid should react like Westbrook does when he does something great. The NBA is a little different, those guys have the luxury of taking 3 or 4 seconds to celebrate a play. You can pump yourself up and still sprint back at the same time. That shows a coach you care in both ways. Thank you for this comment because it is a good point, I definitely am not trying to tell players not to bring passion to their play (see point number 8).
Currently a 5th year PG at a prep school coming off a severe injury that took my true senior year. Any advice for the preseason process going on now (open gyms, lifts, etc.)
Great question. This is a tough spot to be in, however I know guys who started talking to schools in their prep year. So depending on where you go and what the exposure is like, you still have time to get noticed. Just try and have the best possible season you can, and have your high school coach reach out to as many schools as possible. If he doesn't have those resources, then you can reach out to them yourself, especially D3 schools. Put together a highlight tape and get your name out there!
could you make a video on how to make the basketball team or tips on how to shoot better? i’m trying to make the basketball team and i’m a freshman that’s 6’0 but started playing last year
Bro keep hard I'm from India, bro i'm in 10 standard (high scl freshman ) I want a video on how I will be playing basketball in the USA as an international students
What year did you play at Colgate, my dad drove a bus at Lehigh I would get in Lehigh games for free cause he did shuttled Lehigh students to the game and after the game but we from Kentucky I always wanted to be the head coach for Kentucky
I played at Colgate for five years, with last winter being my last season at the school. We always had some good battles with Lehigh, but normally we won haha
I go to a really really small school in Indiana is there actually a way for me to go d1 i had a 30 point game this year in my 8th grade season now im going into high school but am i actually able to make it
Well, it depends on how old you are. If you are a younger player, I think the competition will be really good for you, and hopefully you can work your way into a starting role. If you are older, then the competition will still be good, but if you are getting no playing time, that really won't help your situation at all.
This is how most try to stand out today. 1. One lime green shoe and one flourescent orange. 2. One female stocking on just one leg. 3. Hair tied in knots and tied to the top of your head. 4. Tatoos everywhere that you'll regret later.

I love this mentality!
Calipari dropped this quote about Eric Bledsoe it’s doesn’t matter the height it’s your heart that makes you play big
This is a great quote. I thin all young players should definitely have this mentality.

Appreciate it!

Yes will definitely have to do a shooting breakdown video at some point.
Do you have Colgate toothpaste sponsor haha u should. Ur content is sick!
I wish! We always used to hear that joke when I was at school haha. Thank you for the kind words!
Hey Tucker, I’m 6’4 and 14 years old and I want to become and nba player one day, do you have any advice, thx and great vid👍
My advice is to keep working at getting better every day. Don't worry about the end result right now, worry about the process. Thank you!
@@TuckerRichardson aight thx for the advice 👍

Hey tucker I’m currently at a really good highschool but there is a lot of competition and I’m not super sure I will be a starter. Should I transfer?
Well, it depends on how old you are. If you are a younger player, I think the competition will be really good for you, and hopefully you can work your way into a starting role. If you are older, then the competition will still be good, but if you are getting no playing time, that really won't help your situation at all.
I come from a small town so how do I get noticed and get to these circuits
Are you still going for the NBA?
For me it's about trying to make myself better in the situation I am in. I try and let the rest take care of itself.
Thanks but can this apply to 2013 youth basketball ?
For sure! I think these are general guidelines for how you should approach the game.
@@TuckerRichardson thanks
Bro I grind the most on my team and someone who barely grinds scores more than me and I underperform it’s so annnoying

Does this stand for high school too?
Yes, these are just things that every basketball player should be doing anyway if they want to be the best player and person they can.
@@TuckerRichardson Preciate it
At 1k!!! 😀
