What I took from this song It's about a suicidal man. Saying he is about to break to pieces (die) and it's his calling to die. He's saying Broadway here I come because he's falling on Broadway Street. "Broadway I am here" He's reached the end. He's dead. "I'll never find out" Hope you liked it

I love this. I translated the lyrics of this because I'm not good at English... After knowing the meaning of the lyrics, I like this much more than before......And george played this song perfectly..I like him a lot.....ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ너무좋아최고야짜릿해
Knowing the true meaning of this song then listening to some of the lyrics like "will I feel broken or totally complete" just makes me depressed. But in a good way, dont worry Joe you made a great song and George you sang it beautifully
The experience of listening to this depends on how you take the lyrics. If you take the entire thing as a metaphor for success [on broadway] it’s really awe inspiring. If you take it in it’s literal sense as someone committing suicide, it’s (for me at least) incredibly heartbreaking and real, especially the bridge and last line(s). As someone whose been there I relate to this song a hell of a lot.

The pressure it increases
The closer that I get
I could almost go to pieces
But I'm not quite there yet
See I've been bravin' crazy weather
Drownin' out my cries
I'll pull myself together
I'm focused on the prize
I'm fallin', baby
Through the sky, through the sky
I'm fallin', baby, through the sky
It's my callin'
Baby, don't you cry, don't you cry
I'm fallin' down through the sky
Its a tune you can hum
Oh, Broadway, here I come
Hmm-mm-mm-mmm
Will I remain the same, or will I change a little bit?
Will I feel broken or totally complete?
Will I retain my name when I'm the biggest, hugest hit?
Or will I blend in with the rest of the street?
The people all are pointing
I bet they'd never guess
That the saint that they're anointing
Is frightened of the mess
But even though I fear it
I'm playin' all my cards
Baby, you are gonna hear it
When I give them my regards
I'm falling, baby
Through the sky, through the sky
I'm fallin', baby, through the sky
It's my calling
Baby, don't you cry, don't you cry
I'm fallin' down through the sky
And I refuse to go numb
Oh, Broadway, here I come
Broadway, here I come
Broadway, here I come
Broadway, Broadway, here I come
Here I come!
And the last thing I hear
As the impact grows near
Is it a scream or a cheer?
Well, never mind, I'll never find out
'Cause Broadway, I am here.
I don't know what we did to deserve these two but I'm glad we did it
I love this. I translated the lyrics of this because I'm not good at English... After knowing the meaning of the lyrics, I like this much more than before......And george played this song perfectly..I like him a lot.....ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ너무좋아최고야짜릿해
The music Joe Iconis writes seems so simple on the surface but deep down you can see so many more meanings and that’s what I love about it
Knowing the true meaning of this song then listening to some of the lyrics like "will I feel broken or totally complete" just makes me depressed.
As someone whose been there I relate to this song a hell of a lot.
i never knew how much i needed this until now
I love this man so much. I haven’t obsessed over anything quite this much since i read the percy jackson books. I just wanna meet this man now lol
I was so obsessed with this song when I first watched them. Now it blew up and it’s getting super popular!
The way he says "The pressure, it increases" is soooooo pretty and it killed me
is there anyone better than george
no
And here I thought I was the only one to wave my arms like that.
Thank you George for adding to my self confidence.
CRYING

And cried again

It doesn't happen often, that a song makes me cry. This song made me get goose-bumps and I cried in the end. It's amazing!

Idk why but this song has me HYSTERICALLY sobbing! George Salazar and Joe Iconis are so talented, god bless them
Why is he so amazing
This is my favourite song on the album. I can visualise it and I have such a clear image in my head of the view etc that this song is describing. The words are so interesting too, and I love how you guys have sung and played it. Wow
this is simultaneously such a beautiful and sad song and *damn* do i wish i could write like that
GOD A COUPLE OF LINES JUST CLICKED AND THIS SONG JUST GOT THAT MUCH SADDER AND MORE RELATABLE
My favorite song. Ever.
i love how much emotion he puts into every single one of his performances. Even when he's just singing in a recording studio, it feels like I'm watching a live performance
the intake of breath at the end makes my stomach drop each time ahhhhh george stop it
I might need to rewatch Smash. George Salazar, successful once again with the "giving people the feels" thing.
0 dislikes...that's what it should have.

George is honestly such an amazing artist. He’s able to convey so many emotions through his voice and facial expressions. You can easily see how passionate he is about his singing.
I love this! I don't know what else to say, it's just such an amazing song and fits George's voice so perfectly well! :)
