@@TooManyHobbies Nice. I have an Erie model from them with the same bonding method. Looks like they just slapped some gelcoat over the seam. Hopefully there is decent amount of bonding putty connecting the parts underneath the slapped on gelcoat but judging by the water going into maybe there isn't. Might be in for a bunch of grinding work to get to some glass to bond to lol. Hopefully Tony has a cheat code method for you! Crossing my fingers that mine holds up lol.
I'm assuming the UFO is a fiberglass model. That should make the repair more straightforward.
Yeah it’s the fiberglass one, I’ve done quite a bit of fiberglass work so I’m not too concerned about it. Just a pain in the ass having to do it 😂

Before you fill in/glass the layout boat, drill out the end of the cracks to stop it from spreading

Yeah it’s not good…I bought it 5 or 6 years ago and Tony told me to grind down the cracks and fiberglass them, which I was planning on doing anyway
