- Kiha 52-122 proceeded to Naga City after being stored for some time in PNR Calamba Yard along with Kiha 59 "Kogane" Trainset. The two are brought south before the line between Alabang and Calamba are closed, and the tracks dismantled in anticipation of the North-South Commuter Railway Project construction Activities.
This train is the last operable member of the 7 Kiha 52s donated by JR East to Philippines National Railways in 2011 and is now serving as a department worktrain. It is also formerly a passenger commuter train before being converted in its current configuration.
Safe distance from the rail line must be observed at all times for your safety and the also for the train crew.

Nice catch mate! I have heard that the CC300 is used on Bicol Commuter service now.
Thank you! I am really happy seeing this particular train as it is one of a kind. Regarding the 9000 class locomotives (CC300), it seems that they will stay there until maybe the 203 series are brought to Bicol. I'll miss them for sure
@@JPM913 Alright. Do you know whats coming to the Calamba-Ligao line after October though? I really hope DEL 921 and 902 will remain in service after October.
@@AliGroves450 On recent interviews, the PNR General Manager said they will move all the train south, but im not sure how they will do it considering that the tracks are dismantled. There are also some rumours that a direct Calamba-Naga trips is possible in the following year.
@@JPM913 Hmm I see cool! That's probably what the restored 12 series coaches are for. As for moving them, I think that will be done by a lorry with a low loader.
@@AliGroves450 That will be a lot of moving to do. But i think it's worth it rather than being idle for 5 years or so. Now we wait for the next Bicol Express car to be rolled out of the workshops, if there's anything left to use.
