man the view to quality ratio is crazy, I thought I had clicked onto another big name youtuber. 75 views feels criminal for how professional/high quality this video felt
@@CozyDesignStudios I think there's actually something to this, because Terraria is base $10 and often goes on sale for $5 and gets played a ton too. Personally, Terraria is my most-played Steam game with over 1000 hours. There might be some price range around there that a lot of highly-replayable games target (and of course we're talking almost exclusively indie games at these prices as well, though not all are equal among indies for replayability). Monkey Island warned us with "Never pay more than $20 for a computer game."
Thank you for raising the potential trigger of Dave the Diver. I have been thinking of buying the game for a long time, and you are the first person I watched who talked about it! I will probably pick up the game at some point but with so many good games available, it just dropped a little bit lower on my list.
Im really glad you found it useful, not gonna lie I almost cut it cuz I was a bit worried I was reading too much into it so its really great to hear it was helpful!
Recently discovered your channel, and man, I have struck gold. Your style and aesthetic are unmatched. Your videos are so well edited, your voice is so soothing, you manage to actually have in-depth observations and commentary despite the shorter format. Also you always have great outfits!
I don't know if it fits in the genre of Cozy Games. But my absolute favorite game that feels cozy, beautiful, and heartfelt is Spiritfarer. I tried it for the art, stayed for music and gameplay, planted it firmly in my heart for the story❤
what is this, the TH-cam algorithm giving me something that is actually totally up my alley?? great selection of games. in retrospect, I find (unmodded) Stardew extremely stressful, especially once I played Littlewood. it's also made by a single developer, and is just... ultimate cosiness. highly recommend this one!
yay im really gald you liked it haha and ooo ill definitely check that out, I agree Stardew can absolutely get a bit stressful at times haha sounds like i really gotta check out some mods to make it more chill.
@@CozyDesignStudiosso happy to hear that, I hope you enjoy it once you give it a go! some other cozy farming games I enjoyed as well: Coral Island, Sun Haven and Roots of Pecha.
This was such a well crafted video! I've been a life-long cozy game fan and am loving Fields of Mistria, however would you consider doing a follow up for cozy games that don't feature farming? I'm a bit burned out on the farming sim genre in general and would love to find games that still strike that cozy cord without managing yet another farm.
Im really glad you liked the video! Yea I totally agree haha that is absolutely in the cards, i'm working on one right now which is about more chilled out games where the focus is a bit more on just existing in a nice cozy low-stress world so stay tuned for that it should be coming out soon haha.
I know your question wasn’t directed at me, but personally I’d recommend Unpacking, Coffee Talk, and Bear & Breakfast! And although it’s heavily stretching the definition of “cozy,” I also highly recommend My Time At Sandrock (the game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world and it can often feel like your character is helping mitigate one disaster after another, but it follows the similar farmsim formula of fixing up a town while getting to know the local townsfolk).
Do you know Donut County? Idk does it worth 13 usd, but it's one of the most relaxing games I've played. It's short, you can complete it in 3-4 days or less, bit it has quite good pacing, story(easy and fun), cute style, funny take on how raccoons see the world, and you can't make a mistake at all, except final levels, but even I beat the bosses on the first try, so it's really stressfree. Actually I would even come back sometimes to some levels just to relax.
I've seen a play through of it and I totally agree it looks like a really chill game and right up my alley! I haven't played it but from what I've seen it seems like a really great time and for 13 bucks I say hey go for it, I dident see anything glaringly wrong with it to justify NOT spending 13 bucks on it
I've found myself a teeny bit frustrated with Stardew Valley for the same reasons you just mentioned. When I checked the wiki to see what you have to do to increase relationships it was overwhelming. I feel like an idiot not knowing what to do :( It sounds like Fields of Misteria would be more my thing but I don't want to think of it being a more simplified farming sim ...
Yea I mean idk that I would say it's more SIMPLE it just feels a bit more modern. Like stardew takes alot of inspo from harvest moon and you can tell, and I think the clunky and ambiguous parts are absolutely an intentional call back to that. But fields, is more like a more modernized take with alot more quality of life features it's not necessarily SIMPLER persay but it's less frustrating for sure haha, hope that elaboration helps haha

Awee thank you so much! I really appreciate it 😁 I'm really glad you liked the video!
8 years playing Stardew Valley, starting when I was 63 travels around the Sun! Playing expanded now with mods.🐓
Damn!! It's INSANE to me how much milage people can get out of a 15 dollar game, incredible haha

Yea that's a fair point, as long as they are able to make a good game for that price it's a pretty great spot to be haha
