Right?! Wtf is with all the fat and food references throughout every fight? Yes he's a big man, yes, he eats food. Is all that necessary? You're making him seem like a joke. He excelled to greatness and knocked out so many opponents despite his weight.
I've always loved Butterbean, he was awesome. Happy to see DDP helped him get on his feet again, these fighters put themselves on the line for our entertainment and they all deserve respect.
Eric Esch is a legend, so entertaining back in the day. No one should ever make fun of him, for a man his size he had good head movement, stamina and very powerful! Like a tank coming towards you. He fought at a good level for a very long time, he was over 300 pounds when he fought!, try sparring in the gym with 130 pounds on your back. I bet you can’t. Butterbean was pure entertainment and pure class. Respect.
@jamesj-cr6wq His body was fueled by the fire in his veins. The phrase " eye of the tiger" isn't just an 80's theme song. It's the hunger for survival. A desire to win. Size has nothing to do with it. It's a gift and shouldn't be mocked.
I can’t even imagine what a shot to the ribs from him would feel like. Once I had a semi truck tire (100psi) blow up about 3 feet from me and what felt like a solid ball of air hit me in the gut, knocking me 6 feet back right on my ass with my head spinning. I’m 250lb. That probably isn’t much different than a Butterbean punch.
@@ronkistner2672he didn’t have to think he was tough, because he was tough. Every opponent underestimated him, until they were wondering how the hell they were laying down.
Butterbean, I love how he goes swinging. He his slugger style so simple yet them hooks, straight jabs and liver blows, man head hunts like crazy, but he built like a fortress.
“Butterbean was only afraid of an empty refrigerator and a treadmill.” That was funny…. I think I’d rather take my chances of jaywalking across the 405 freeway during rush hour than find myself in the ring with Butterbean.
Most of the jokes were on the cheap shot side of things, but if I was butterbean, I'd be proud of that, "grabbing beers off the top shelf" line to describe my overhands lmao
People who buy this types of cars, sometimes I wonder where they work, because I've been a doctor for more than 8 years and I have still not gotten my dream car.
Of course this type of cars are not meant for salary earners because salary job is just like modern slavery. You work for 8 years and you couldn't buy a car
You work for 8 years and you couldn't buy a car while some people are just investing little coin in the stock market and they're making millions of dollars.
Can't imagine being hit by a 300 lb monster swinging what adds up to kettle balls. He is thick. His head is on a 8X8 post. Very difficult guy to knock out. Your only hope was to get him too tired to lift his ham hocks. Loved watching him.
He was definitely an enigma in the sport. Back when boxing was actually a sport I guess and not that sort of insanity we had the other day that amounted to a multi million dollar nothing bucket. It was always interesting watching butterbean's fights. He might of been a larger guy but he really did use it to his advantage, that extra weight being carried through the shoulders and down the arm delivered some absolute sledge hammers if he got it lined up right and he often did.
I don’t much care for the narration in this video. I grew up watching butterbean. I feel he deserves more respect 🫡 than what he is getting here. Glad you in the comments feel the same
I wouldn't say so many condescending puns for a man that would throw a punch so hard, that your soul leaves your body for a second... No matter his body size and shape.
No reason to make fun of him. He was a badass and deserves respect.
Yeah, the fat jokes got old. He was a legit fighter.
Life is a mindset, yer size matters not.
Straight up
There's a TH-cam video about his life and the like -- more respect when you learn the background.
Great guy .
Bean is a destructive force of nature. Don't let his image fool you. The guy hits like Tyson. His record speaks for itself. Miss seeing his fights.
I heard that he's a bad ass in the ring but a big teddy bear in life. I don't know if it's true or not, i don't know the dude.
Love butterbean. !!!!
I hate how people make fun of him, this man was an absolute machine.
Looks like boxed Freddy Mercury 😆 B.B. is a frickin MOUNTAIN. 👍
The disrespect in this video is wild.
@@Slowrollin592I agree and the fact that the dude talking would never get in the ring with a welterweight much less than Eric

He never boxed a professional Opponent.
I remember Butterbean. His fights were always fun to watch.
Absurd narration. The man deserves more respect.
Yes. Awesome footage terrible narration. Either AI or a dope.
The narrator really dished out high-calorie comments, marbling his words with culinary precision.
Yea, that narrator is pretty unimaginative and obnoxious....
Correct, not funny except to 10 year olds. I won't come back here.
The writing of the narrative is so hilariously bad I can't imagine it was anything but a parody of itself.
I've always loved Butterbean, he was awesome. Happy to see DDP helped him get on his feet again, these fighters put themselves on the line for our entertainment and they all deserve respect.
DDP seems like a great human being ❤

The man,the myth,the legend....BUTTERBEAN
Results don't lie .
Butterbean was feared,and feared nobody.
Respect.
The narrator's condescending name calling is not appreciated.
Come on, man, it’s funny.
It was AI
Too disrespectful, and it's stupid narration isn't funny.
I like watching Butterbean, he is always moving forward, when he swings and connects, it doesn't look as fast as it is.
Dude hit like a semi. And could take more punishment than most of his opponents.
Big fan. 😊
I've always loved Butterbean as an icon, I'm glad he's still getting his flowers. Man is a legend.
I don't usually like boxing, but man I love watching Butterbean fight.
Someone was very proud of the 20 variations of the same fat joke. Writing-masterclass...
They called him 'Butterbean' to disguise the fact that he was an absolute bulldozer.
Esch had fists and a head of granite, surprising speed, and devastating power. And he went for the body as readily as the head. Fun to watch.
I can’t even imagine what a shot to the ribs from him would feel like. Nothing but respect for this man.
I’m reminded of a boxer who once called George Foreman a freak of nature when he was champion and boxing in his 40’s.
He was big, but! He had the boxing skills and was an exceptionally fast punching machine!. On ya Butter bean!. Nuff said.

Butterbean, er ist wirklich ein Krieger im Ring den man mag 😂🎉🎉🎉
Yes, Eric is a boxing Legend! My nickname " Presslufthammer"!🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪
Its tiering the put downs and stupid jokes of a GREAT athlete ! The Bean gave us strong will , courage , and fantastic entertainment ❗️
Yes exactly my sentiments, Butterbean is one of my favourite boxers😊
The comedy was in the narration.... The reality was in the knockouts.
Those mad hooks are hard to stop! 🥊
I’ve never heard of anyone making fun of Butterbean before, dudes a beast.
Fun to watch. Turn the sound off to avoid the inane commentary.

Yes, but most had very little or no boxing skills.
