I love how Drew seamlessly makes vids without any knowledge of the game. France starts with a shitload of vassals making them just as strong, but this is representing the strong decentralization in France. Timiruds were at the height of the power in 1399 and it started to decline after Timmie's death. Furthermore coastal cities are always interesting for trade, making it logical that China coastal provinces represent a certain value.

The reason why the game looks so crazy is that EU3 implodes when you disable terra incognita through console

The reason Algiers has territories in america is cuz the ti command let's the ea see the whole map as well
So I think the reason they started colonizing for you so early is that you had to console in “ti” to turn off terra incognita so you could view the whole world from the beginning. That turns off ti for the ai as well as the player, so while they couldn’t colonize immediately (they don’t start out with the colonial range), the ai could sail out and conquer nations in the new world. Then, 50 years later, they got cores on their conquered land, and were able to actually start colonizing.
Before I watch the video, I already assume the HRE will be cancer but Ulm will be the supreme ruler of the HRE (which wouldn’t be cancer) and Sexy Ulm without buffs is a sight to see

The reason why the Europeans made it over to America so fast and Ferrara discovered Japan so fast is because when you disable fog of war, you are disabling fog of war for EVERYONE. So everyone can see the same things as you.

EU3 bingo. France falling to Burgundy because France starts with half their country as vassals and Burgundy is in the HRE, Ottomans doing nothing because their AI is so passive they won't even take Constantinople before getting killed by Blobhemia or more rarely Austria or Castille, Austria being irrelevant because Blobhemia stays HRE the whole game, Spain never forming (despite Castille dominating, they won't take Barcelona, Iberian Wedding never happens), Muscovy starting off too weak and dying to Lithuania, Lithuania and Blobhemia killing Poland, Lithuania and Blobhemia blobbing into the steppe, New World and colonial regions being a total fustercluck (free space), Brazil being the only independent New World country but it's in West Africa, England does nothing outside of Britain the whole game, Castille and Portugal annex all of North Africa, Europeans don't touch India or East Asia (except for colonizing Hokkaido and other wastelands). This stuff happens every game

I've played EU3 many times and my games never got that weird in the 15th century. Yeah the late game is a big mess... but Europeans taking colonies so far away so early in the game is not common.
Its because he turned fog of war off with console commands, so all the AI can see the entire world… and thus countries in Europe/Africa could immediately sail to the americas and conquer the american countries
If you do this again, make sure to put AI Aggression to HIGH in the settings, if you haven't already.
