thats easily done by wrapping it in clay with a load of carbon, i would suggest graphite or even better lamp black, then leaving it in a bonfire for some hours to soak in a bit of carbon, it can then be readily hardened. cheers usually the tip is concave but that doesnt really do much of what ive found as i had to sharpen a worn down tool with an angle grinder, works like its brand new
Great idea, but would be limited to how many different thickness' of material that you could punch. I doubt you could go any thicker than say 14 gauge, which is about 1/16". If you do go thicker you may need a bigger hand wheel to get better leverage for punching.
nice project but you should have made your punch tip heat-hardened so it can last long - and not threaded in so you can change the hole size to smaller and bigger dies instead of one size only which is easy to make with a few dies
Thank you so match. where i can get the dimensions ? is there is any website i can download all parts dimensions from ? or a Book cointains large assembly files with dimensions? if you help me please contact me please
Just a tip: we don't need to see you practice your welding skills, or lack there of, so instead of wasting our time watching you weld every piece of scrap iron in your shop together, use material that is the right size for your project.
Maddog a saddog. Go cry somewhere else, he’s literally showing you how HE made it ya cuck. If you don’t like it or you time is “too precious” then fuck off somewhere else
There are so many parts which should not have been welded, for example the bearing, the large pulley they should have been fixed with a bolt & washer as stopper.. in case the bearing needs to be changed, in case you need a bigger or smaller pulley, both can be removed easily.. a small spring at the punch would push the sheet easily instead of removing it manually..
The punching nail and its base must be hardened in order to work efficiently. A really special project, thank you
Thank you very much and thanks for your suggestion man

It's only simple with all them tools and metal shop take all that away ya be screwed 🤣🤣
Only makes one size holes, useless
not a great build tbh. looks weak. you need to put a gearbox onto it with a motor and switches.
