For anyone that's new to Granblue, it's not a series of games like Tales or Final Fantasy, it actually started out as a web browser game and then they adapted it into an anime and manga series. So other than Granblue Fantasy Versus, which is a fighting game like Street Fighter, this is the first rpg they have made for consoles.

@@rob19nyGranblue Fantasy is not a Mobile game, it's just that you can play it on mobile... the game itself is for Web Browsers, so you can play it in anything that can navigate the web.

FYI - There is a short bit of before this that introduces the characters and crew but we were unable to show this due to embargo restrictions.

Looks so similar to Tales of Arise, in a good way. I loved that game and I am digging what I'm seeing of this so far.
honestly im like this more, cause ToA was just damage sponges , atleast in this game the boss is more reactive and has more mechanics
man i gave up on tales of arise because i couldn't beat that annoying wolf monster
Tales of arise was pretty Bad, fightiing the sames Monsters with différent colors all game and more HP was boring

This looks more like modern Ys or Trials of Mana gameplay-wise, which I vastly prefer over Tales of Arise.

Models and animations look great, I hope they can fix the dead eyes though, a small tweak that will have a great impact.
Is there a way to toggle off the Art bar besides the Charackter? I know it's a visuel hint. It seems to be the same use of it like in XBC and they just put it right in the corner.

Truly ridiculous release window. Hope the game can survive being pushed out next to such heavy hitters, would love for Granblue to make it big in the west
@@BladetastersDelightNah, Relink has a bigger appeal than Persona 3 (due to having real time action gameplay and not Turn based and not costing 70 bucks, like, damn, i was hyped for P3, now i'm just going to wait for a sale or get it through keys) so i doubt that game will hurt its sale, and FFXIV is exclusive to PS5, so they have PS4 and PC for themselves that month

Question regarding the original series, when is cygames going to finally finish the main quest, how long will it be till they finally make it to estalucia in order for gran to meet his dad, who still has not been named to this day
Oh, the mobage just recently did the Mortal Kombat thing and went with multiple timelines, so any occurrences there won't affect this game too much, unless the writers want it to.
question is, did they implement the class system and weapon/element system from the original game. would be cool if they did but it makes no sense to make a system thats only usable for one character.

I have been following news regarding this game for quite some time, I have just a couple questions though, how is the story? Will it be good? Will it be okay to play this without playing the browser game?

Isn't that the same exact boss that they fought in the desert footage they showed off before? Do they reuse bosses in the main quest, or just for the side quests?
That's a mini boss, and yes, it's reused, like the goblins and such.
The big endgame bosses are a different, like the White Dragon.

Looks like they adopted the Tales series formula, especially Tales of Arise, and made adjustments. It's looking really good.

Regardless it will have a dedicated playerbase(me) and they will update the game no matter how popular it is. Because there other game granblue versus's had very few people playing it and yet they were still adding characters and updates
granblue fantasy has a larger fanbase than all of those besides FF7 (not sure if it will translate to relink ofc, definitely did not work for the fighting games)
It definitely will get overshadowed, The people making these decisions are clueless beyond belief - they're impacting their own sales for this game.

You honestly have no idea how different this game is from arise lmao, it's not even close tbh, arise is just skill>skill>skill>skill> vice versa for aerial skills, where as in granblue, every single character has mechanics and or gimmicks that you need to know/pay attention to, to make them way more effective than just mashing buttons or doing skills at random.
I honestly can't wait, but from what you show in the beginning of this game here, I'm afraid Relink depends heavily on our prior knowledge from GBF and doesn't give newcomers a lot of good characterization for the base crew. Or at least not enough, imho.
I already know the dynamics among the crew and there's a lot of "oh cool, they're just like how they were in the original" moments, but when I try to frame myself as someone who've never known these characters, they're bound to feel rather stiff and seems very stereotypical. Not to mention the fact that they're thrown together all at once.
I just hope people with no GBF experience can force through this part somehow AND the next part of the game expands on individual characterization of the crew more.
As it is right now, I find little reason for new players to find Katalina, Rackam, Eugen, Io and Rosetta to be interesting past the "stereotypical group"
Like, throw in some quick flashbacks of their most emotional moments or something.
The devs said they have Fate Episodes that will help newcomers familiarize themselves with the characters. So hopefully that works

some place that mentioned in prologue like port breeze (first island gran and co visit and where they met rackam) is yellow colored so there is likely glossary menu in game
also the fate episode will likely help player to know the characters.
Theres an introduction part before what is shown in the game.
They can watch the first two seasons of the anime and that should give a pretty good introduction for the base crew. The anime was what got me excited for this game. Never played the mobile and wasn't a big fan of the fighting game, so I was stoked to hear this was coming.
