Being English, my mum was able to go to one of their gigs. According to my mother: There were as little as 50 people there and at the end of the gig, she went backstage and kissed the drummer, after saying "Hellooooo!" in a stereotype Scottish accent. Another time later on, she was at a gig for this song when she was pregnant with me. When this song burst through the speakers and I started kicking about.
This song is great, but as much as I love this version. You can't beat the live version of Glitter and Trauma. Everybody singing along to the intro before the distortion kicks in - just amazing!! Mon the Biffy!!
Great video and song, definitely one of the best songs that Biffy Clyro have written. Only a week til I see these guy at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange, Can't wait, it's gonna be fucking awesome! Mon the Biffy!!
have been looking for this track for ages, i first heard it in paris at rock en seine, and they completely rocked it up, was awesome though none the less.
I also saw them at Brixton. It was such an amazing gig. Even though I was squished up at the barriers against a sweaty afro guy, it was totally brilliant. MON THE BIFFY!!!
was just thinking that. went to see them at the alhambra in dunfermline in june for their warm-up gig for rock ness and they were fecking awesome. love them sooooooooo much!!
"glitter" and "trauma" are german words. Hahahaha, good one, Convans07. Very random. Anyway... Of all the music videos Biffy Clyro have made, this 1 has to be my favourite. Can't wait 2 see these guys in November, when they tour the UK again. I missed out seeing Biffy 1st time round, back when they toured back May.
The end of the song is perfect. Love this video so much and not quite sure why haha, hope they play this 21st March @ LG Birmingham. Love biffy soooo fucking much! To pieces! Mon the Biffy everyone!
Mamagaea, I don't know if Biffy Clyro will be doing a concert in Portland, OR. All I know is they r in the Warp Tour line-up. I'm from Scotland, by the way. As I said go see Biffy Clyro play live, if u can. U WON'T disappointed
Brilliant song and band. Mon the Biffy!! Don't know if anyone else will agree on this, but, this song reminds me of Canadian prog-rock band, Rush. It sounds, musicially, like something Rush would write, I think so, anyway.
good song, i like it, have to see more to qualify them into my band archive, im just cheking them out because they are supporting Muse. but this song is really good.
Biffy clyro don't have a style man they mix up a bit of everything thats why they can perform with so many bands and change their style at will! they are simply awesome
@TheLittlelor i beg to differ actually. i believe that biffy were, for their first three albums anyway, signed to either electric honey or beggar's banquet, both of which were independent record labels, meaning that biffy's first three albums were "indie". it dosnt take a true fan to know what the word indie actually means.
Its amazing to hear the difference, they were much more adventurous and off the path stuff while staying catchy and upbeat back then. Now they just follow the shepard. Still, better them than most other shit out there!
@1708Sean I totally agree, and I know you wrote that a few months ago. I do admit that I was a little annoyed that they are more famous now (but supposed 'dedicated' fans had only heard of Many of Horror) and had not heard their older albums. But now I realise I was childish because they are still an amazing band as always and it's still Biffy Clyro. Mon the Biff.
"was the puzzle album art referencing the "Your skin will break into jigsaw shaped pieces" line, maybe?" It could very well be, DaTimeHat, I never noticed that before. Also note the "you'll fall apart" line link to the one you mentioned, which the Puzzle artwork may also be referring to in some way.
Totally me to, i heard saturday superhouse last year and i thought it was ok but i didnt really bother. Mountains was the track that i really got into so i gave them a chance. And their fkn mint, ive not seen them live yet thou but they are great!
Mamagaea, "Mon the Biffy!" just means "Come on, the Biffy!". If u don't have any Biffy Clyro albums, get them all (can't recommend 1, they're all gr8). Their new album Puzzle is out on Monday, available on import on amazon 4 $27.49. They'll b doing a US/Canada tour as part of the Warp Tour in July, if u get the chance go see them. Biffy Clyro amazing live.
Can't believe I overlooked this song for so long

This comment was made 16 years ago and I myself am only 16 so when u wrote this comment I was just a new born. Mad that innit
Best intro to a song ever. Shame it had to be shortened for the vid...
