    What a great result on a white car. I think white lends itself to a coating as I find waxing white not as easy unless I have a coloured wax but if I do persevere they really pop and I find they don't show dirt as easily. The Golf R is a stunning car at the best of times and the blue accents really stand out against the white. I watched a video recently of a guy using Gyeon Wax and topping that with cure and as I bought a bottle for a car I had coated with MOHS but sold within two weeks I am going to try that method on my sons car when he is home for the summer.

      Cheers buddy. CURE is a very versatile product and can indeed be applied on top of pretty much any LSP.

    I used gyeon one Evo with cure on top of my black metallic car. Definitely noticed that cure added tons of slickness and also darkened my paint even filled in very fine scratches. Amazing stuff

    Thanks for another really enjoyable product. I've applied Gyeon ceramic coatings to 5 cars using both MOHS/Skin and Pure products. I found Pure really easy to use and added Gyeon CanCoat as a 2nd layer which it recommends in the manual before adding Cure on top. MOHS is easy to apply and another great coating but I found Skin very difficult. It would be useful to do a video of the Gyeon Synchro kit to a very dark blue car i.e BMW Imperial Blue as that shows up any high spots very easily. I now use MOHS with CanCoat instead as the topper.

    • @thecarboutique2467
      @thecarboutique2467  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks Simon as always. We have Synchro ready to go so after we complete 3 other ceramics, will definitely plan a review on a darker colour vehicle. A great suggestion and we will make it happen. Cheers.

    Great video, lads, as always. Prompted by a number of recent FB posts, what are people's opinions on reusing MF cloths for other processes after they have been used for levelling/buffing ceramic coatings?
    I was looking at Trim Evo, but there doesn't seem to be stock available.

    • @thecarboutique2467
      @thecarboutique2467  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Personally for the cloths I use to remove the initial coating, after use I bin them. For the buff off cloths I keep them for jobs like engine cleans. This might be over the top but the way the ceramic hardens the applicator cloth, I have no confidence that washing the cloths after use will remove all the product.

    How long should we wait before we apply cure on top of a freshly coated car to protect it from the elements during the curing time?

    • @thecarboutique2467
      @thecarboutique2467  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Alvin, I believe the instructions say 1hr, however, I personally would leave it as long as you can. If your vehicle is garaged for 12 hours before going outside, apply CURE at the last opportunity.

    • @blackpanda7612
      @blackpanda7612 26 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I applied Pure and CanCoat, then topped with Cure. I waited 2 hours after Pure to apply CanCoat, then another 2 hours before topping with Cure. No issues with the coating and its been going strong for almost 1 year now.
      Maintenance washing is with CarPro Reset and topping up with Cure once a month.

    Thank you - what is the "de-carbonizer" used on the exhaust? I've not heard of a dedicated product for it. I've always just used apc's, degreasers, polishes, fine steel wool, hand drill, etc etc etc. Love to know what you meant by that. Thank you

    • @thecarboutique2467
      @thecarboutique2467  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hiya and thanks for watching the video. Cronos breaks down the carbon residues inside the muffler in a few minutes. You can then use a metal polish to bring the exhaust tips back to a good condition. If your exhaust is covered in black carbon, use Cronos and it will significantly remove all the carbon. Apply it, agitate it with a brush, leave to work for approx 5 mins, then rinse off with water. I hope this helps.

    Hey guys, great vid... Im actually going to ceramic my car for the first time using gyeon pure, so perfect vid for me... just one question, plz... polishing/waxing the car before applying the ceramic coating??? Ive heard dont do it, and i heard its ok... plz whats your take on it???

    • @thecarboutique2467
      @thecarboutique2467  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for watching buddy. When you apply a ceramic coating you are essentially locking in the standard of your clear coat. I always recommend polishing before a ceramic as you want the clear coat surface to be the best it can be. Regarding waxing it's a big No No. You want clean paint with absolutely nothing on it to ensure the ceramic bonds properly. The better the bond, the greater the performance and longevity. Never ever wax before you apply a ceramic but I always endorse polishing before. If you do polish, ensure you use a good panel wipe to remove any polishing oils. Hope this helps.

    • @blackpanda7612

      Yes. I used the leftover Pure product on my wheels without any issues. Still going strong months later but its best to remove the wheel and coat the inner barrels as well.

      Oh wow that wasn’t my experience with it at all. Mine is still going strong but perhaps our environment is different. My car is outside 24/7 in Texas USA. A lot of brutal heat, some humidity, rain, no snow, some ice, no salt on the road. However I did top mine with Gyeon can coat after I applied pure. Also, I only have experience with consumer coatings. I love pure’s application window so I could coat a whole panel at a time, however I will say it took more towels to remove than what I’d previously used but once I grabbed extra towels it was fine. The pay off has been great as far as consumer coatings the deep wet candy apple gloss is amazing on Mazda red. Like I said however I never had it alone. It was pure, plus can’t coat plus cure. I top it with can coat one a year after a full decon. wash.
