Baker was one of the 6 finalists for the AD job at Mizzou. Laird Veatch was chosen at Mizzou's new AD. He came from Memphis and I'm glad Mizzou did not steal Wren from WVU.
You know, if we had more suites and high end seats, that would open up some of the better standard seats for people that would like to upgrade their season ticket packages and be willing to pay more in MAC donations to get them.
Sooo the only way I can get one of those 1/4 zips that Wren is wearing, is through the NIL?? I can't just buy one somewhere?? Sure would like to have one!! Let's Gooo Mountaineers!!
Lets see how Wren Baker does before we hand him a trophy ..... Neal Brown could be a winner this year ....but State Penn does not respect WVU or Neal Brown ( scoring with 6 seconds in the game-- if WVU could do anything to stop them, they should have) WVU basketball is coming as well ( lets see who we do) Baseball season has a new coach so lets see..... How weak is a coach to point out WVU hasn't beaten State Penn that often.... I would love to ask WVU nation a question , How often did WVU play State Penn with Pat White , Marc Bulger , Geno Smith , Clint Trickett, or during the 90's to early 2000's ? Hmmm.... sure Neal Brown in the early 1900s they beat us often.... and last year while you were head coach and you might be the reason they will play us now.... could any of these facts be true... Every day is a new Day ... State Penn is 7th to 9th in the country and they are supposed to beat WVU handley at our place... any coach can lose to a top ten team starting the season off.... its the good ones see an opportunity like Don Nehlen did every time he took the field against the big boys.... I am holding my trophy for Wren Baker back until I see more from his body of work.
Let's not forget 1988 when Penn State visited Morgantown to face WVU led by Pittsburgh native from Brashear HS, QB Major Harris. WVU beat Penn State 51-30 which was the most points ever scored on a PSU squad coached by legendary Coach Joe Paterno. As the Mountaineer crowd was poised to storm the field with a couple minutes left, Coach Paterno surrendered and led his team off the field. The goal posts came down and WVU continued to an undefeated season. I often wondered during national championship game against Notre Dame, what would have happened if Major Harris was not injured during the game and unable to play through the second half?
Complicated puzzle , cornerpieces , can we say disaster waiting to happen ! Out of control even ! Exist stage left ! Semi pro sports is way to expensive and non sustainable in our current climate ! can see crash and burn coming down the road ! No guard rails at high speed just doesnt work ! Enonomy doesnt represent this kind of spending , especially in our state , have fun now because this is set up for failure ! Why doesnt WV have pro sports ? All about the money ! SMH !
The Wheeling Miners, who play at the WesBanco Arena in Downtown Wheeling, are a pro indoor football team and part of the American Arena Football League 2? I know the Nailers, a "minor league" hockey team, that had ties to the Penguins used to play in that facility. I also remember the WV Black Bears, a single A MLB team, leave Morgantown/Granville a couple years ago. Not much to hype about though.
I think WVU has the right man at the AD spot to work this puzzle. Wren is the man!
The board hit it out of the park with hiring Wren
Another great show. Glad Wren came to WVU and has stayed!❤️💛💙
What a great show Guys and that hour went by very fast.... informative and entertaining. Wren Baker is really becoming a Mountaineer.....1971 Grad
I firmly believe Wren is the best thing to happen to WVU in 20 years. I hope he feels like he’s home and sticks around for a long time.
He’ll stay until a better job opens up in or near Oklahoma where him and his wife are both from.

@@fwilliamcony28 yeah, it’s a wonder he didn’t end up there.
Looks like climbing those hills are doing some good, Wren looking trim and dapper.
12/10 interview. Wren Baker is a West Virginia treasure now and forever.

Speaking of 3 Guys merch......when are they going to have sizes for the "larger" men?
