Baekhyun's usual live singing habits are that at the end, he will leave a backtrack for the chorus, and he will sing 1 tone higher to run notes like "higher, deeper, tell me ant good to ya"... So you will hear 2 voices, his voice (higher) and backtrack voice. Parts like "just bit a slice of me" also have a backtrack, because it is the chorus so it needs thickness to create a good part for the song, he will sing it, but you won't hear 2 voices because he sings in the same tone. Candy is a song with a stronger choreography than Pineapple slice and he still sings it at music shows, he cracked his voice on the high note because he had a stomachache that day, you wouldn't know he was actually singing live if you didn't hear him crack his voice. And Baekhyun is a professional singer, he's been singing for 13 years with the intensity of singing and dancing, plus he also takes vocal classes early in the morning, so he controls his breathing very well. I totally understand that he sings live, it's obvious. And I don't doubt it in the video and it's also obvious that there's at least back track in some moments of this live performance
You should watch the live performance on It’s Live. Just him and a live band. No dancing to speak of but the vocals!! And he still manages to look sexy. The thing about most music shows is they want to broadcast perfect, studio-quality vocals for entertainment purposes, and nobody, not even EXO, can dance that hard and not lose some quality. It is what it is. 🤷🏻♀️
