As a gen z i can say that toy specifically hotwheels still have a future i have been collecting hot wheels since im 8 and till now i still enjoy collecting them
To be honest, action figures are SO OVERRATED. They could have sold cheaper, as cheap as bootleg price, but no they dont want to. You know how overprice the price is by seeing the wealth of the company owner... This is why I used to buy bootlegs. But bootleg quality eventually forces me to buy originals.
I really, really like your channel. This Awful Truth series is particularly interesting, I find your continued commentary on the state of collecting relevant and thought provoking. And your audio and video production quality is superb.
I'm from Malaysia, collecting HW since 2011. It was around RM 6.90 retail price at that time. Fast forward 2025, the retail is RM 10.90. and don't ask about hot JDM cars..they will become RM 20-35 each for a mainline. And mainline Hotwheels Proton Saga? Definitely the most wanted here at rm35-45 each😂
@2-xp1dc it's consider rare in Malaysia since every collectors want it, and non collector want it as well. Proton Saga have sentimental value in every Malaysian as our 1st national car
Very well done, and most of your predictions are probably spot on considering we value profit above all else. We literally let people starve or freeze to death in the streets and say “I’m going to buy that new thing! Yay!” Basically we’re trading in our morals for simplicity. On the climate change front I don’t think we’re going to do anything of value to curb its spread. People want the government to step in, and corporations don’t want that, they want to govern themselves so they put of these facades to make it seem like they’re going green when in reality it’s just the same or worse. I see a society like wall-e where those still around become even fatter and more useless, riding around on a ship looking for the next habitable planet to destroy. Consuming all we can until we’re on to the next one.
6:13 Depth is not a canon entity, only a in-game painting. Also, Nacho Varga was a Rush variant exclusive to the 2023 Super Hard Mode April fools event. Depth is not canon, Nacho was a joke entity.
I can respect your points on this yet in some way I see hope for people and future in some shape or form mostly coming from an optimist, sure there would be misfortune but there are people pushing for a better tomorrow and building a better world for our kids even if they dont want you all to see it. It's always a great thing to have hope ya know, but I strongly agree with hot wheels being inflation proof. Personally I'm more into the cars that nobody would really find that interesting like the sentinel 400, fast fortress, Lamborghini countach, edsel, blown camaro and other underrated cars. My advice is to look into the good and the bad yet still keep a positive outlook on things even if the going gets tough, trusting in the lord helps in the long run.
And scalpers in the future would be like druglord kings, "oh you want a sth bro? Come to this disclosed area, its a top secret bunker from HW from 70 years ago, here you go sth duck n roll, i offer you for a price of $15k, or will you trade your kidney for it?"
I went to a Kmart to look at some Hotwheels and I went to the same place 2 days ago and it was stacked with Hotwheels like a McLaren f1 etc and when I went this time there was nothing besides the Japanese premiums and when I was walking past this guy had taken all the Japanese cars and some other ones aswell and yeah so don’t scalp

Is the Proton Saga a rare car? It's in a local store, 3 of them, a regular white car, I didn't like it, I'd rather have a Japanese one...
