He attacked me with a hammer , beat me, would throw things at me , he'd slash me with small things, refused to let me eat, but treated me like a slave , and I couldn't even leave the house or talk to my family. He used to turn the breaker for the lights off at the house. I am still scared of the dark. It terrifies me , now that I'm finally free and left him I realize I always thought I was more comfortable around people who were abusive unintentionally i put myself in situations where I seeked love from men who I saw my mom be with or treat badly her self.
