Just a question...couldn't Jess have given her sister unlimited breaths? I mean, even if she did give her infinite breaths she will still have infinite breaths, right? I think her mom would've been safed that way.

It took me some time to understand too, but the thing is that she can't. Jess can't just give her "some" heartbeats because she has an infinite amount and no significant number. And even if she decided to give her beats, the sister would have infinite which would lead to the dad selling as much beats as he ever wanted and she doesn't want her dad to be bad person
