I love how they made this 2 spiderman game mostly about all the characters kinda, giving into their rage. And even though the Symbiote took control of Peter...I kinda feel like (and this is just me) that Peter didn't mind it for a while. I mean hes this superhero that has literally the whole city on his shoulders after he's been through so much on his own. Having to fight his friends, watching his aunt and uncle die, making decisions that make others turn against him and not being able to find peace within himself I feel like he just was holding all that in. And even doing so much for others and no one appreciates him. Even his fighting style shows it, you see that he holds back so much but when he comes into contact with the suit he kinda just let's it all go, all the pain he felt was now being released, like his rage was an angry animal trying to break out a cage and now its final free. Only when things got worse and he was no longer in total control did he want to free himself, though I feel that everything he said and did while enraged was how he's always felt. It goes to show you when you take someone's kindness and love for granted and deep down their hurting alot, at some point they'll give in and you'll want to make them the villain yet not take a moment to think if this was really how they felt all this time. (Just my theory/opinion)
Although the game had its moments, Spider Man 3 the movie did a much better job showcasing all of what you wrote imo. Give it a watch if you haven't seen it, I think you'll like it
