  • Welcome to my TH-cam channel. This channel is the home for all your vintage Mid-Year Corvette content.
    I just finished restoring a 1963 Corvette Split Window and I am starting another split window build but this time its a race car build. I will be making videos every Friday. I will be making videos on my 1963 Corvette Split Window, my dad's 1965 Corvette, my race car split window build, my friends 1960 Corvette, and other projects that I find along the way. Let me know what you think about the video. Enjoy!!

    Mitch that was way cool music, it put me back on the Southern California coast where is spent alot of time as a young Marine. The little notch is for the spare tire, a threaded rod goes through the middle last the bottom of the jack goes on upside down held by a big wing nut thing. The jack part goes on the inside of the tail lamp panel. That is how it was on my 67 RS i think its been a long time. You have done a great job. It's gonna be great cause I'm thinking we will see the complete rebuild. The first generation Camaro is every bit as cool as any Corvette. Have a great week and stay safe. Right now I'm gonna listen to the music again.

      Hey Jim thanks again for your service! That’s one thing I like about music. It puts you right back to a specific time in your life. It’s pretty cool. Good to know thanks for the info! I didn’t know how that worked. Take it easy and good luck on your car!

      I agree it’s very nice. It really makes quick work of it and it doesn’t throw sparks or death wheel chunks in your teeth lol.

      There will be plenty more Camaro videos to come. I have a lot of heavy metal work to do on this thing.

    Hey there Mitch,
    That plasma cutter looks pretty handy. I need to look into one of those.
    Nice job on the trunk floor. The replacement panel looks to be good quality ... it seems to fit real nice.
    See you on the next great video!
    Take care,
    Dan

      Hey Dan you should get some of those lightning scissors! They work really well. It definitely fit well it was a pretty inexpensive panel and it fit great. So I’m happy with the repair. Take it easy Dan.

      Thanks I appreciate it! It will definitely look factory when it’s done. This old girl will get plenty of love for the next month or so. It had a laundry list of to do’s. Nice I’m glad to hear that you’re working on your car as well.

    Tedious but worth the effort. Are you going to tub the wheel wells?

    • @MidYearMitch
      @MidYearMitch  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks John it definitely was tedious but it turned out nice. No we aren’t going to tub it. We will leave them the stock width.

    Nice video! doing the same to my 67. What trunk pan did you use?

    • @MidYearMitch
      @MidYearMitch  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh nice best of luck! I got this pan off eBay I believe. I’m not sure who made it. It was around $100 for the pan. It was a pretty nice stamping as well.
