Turn down the volume on your media plater first, then procede. This an almost completely working 1950, 2 player, 4 inch pins, shuffle puck alley machine.
It was a bear to get working properly, I had to literally separate the internal mechanism and trial and error some, what I thought was faulty wiring, ( it was only cutting a wire or removing some solder in the end). Then rewire it using a cobbed shut off switch to turn off player 2, and added an external player1/player2 switch to stop player2 from ending on the 5th frame. Hence the need for a cobbed internal shut off switch to get her to work proper.
I have a united shuffle ally 1949 from my understanding the 1st production model . The unit has no pin deck and I have a video on it was a mess with gunked up stepper units.
that's option 1, to get the 10 frames for 10 cents, and any # of people can play any way they want. or option 2 is to get the 2 man workin and goin 10 frames, i thought about it last nite and have a plan that should work.
I've got the same machine. Mine resets over and over running the score up but always resets to frame 1. It clicks to frame 2 but then the single digits just go up to 9 and then it resets to frame 1. Any ideas
I found the problem, the turn off connection was placed 180 degrees from the actual wire designed to stop the machine in player 1. But in addition another wire was misplaced and kept the electricity's current operating through a portion of the flip up switches even when the machine was on but not being played. This in turn burned out a section of the transformer and finding a guy to rewind another transformer is impossible today (its a lost art). I tried to add another transformer just to affected area but the cross currents between the two transformers didnt get along so I turned it into a one switch, one pin, duck pin machine where you try to beat the high score , you could never get a strike or a spare so the highest score would be 100 and I think its about 78 right now.

lookin' pretty good. gotta be a way to play 10 frames. If not just have some scorepads around.
