What a great episode, I was death gripping my chair watching those races 😂 thanks for the coverage and even bigger thanks to Whitz! Top notch company. Sorry about the ESC, currently dealing with some pains of my own on both my cars and just annoyed at this point 😅
Good video. I did a lot of dirt oval racing in the 90's. Silicone coated foam tires were the norm in every class. Its ironic to see the effort, cost and products needed to make the spec rubber tires perform well because that barrier to entry was the reason why they moved away from using silicone foams. Haha.
RYAN GREAT EPISODE THE RACING IS GREAT FUN TO WIN STELLAR BUT TO CREATE FOUND LASTING MEMORIES FOR THOSE NEW TO THE SPORT PRICELESS they are the future
Yo, haven't raced competitively in 6*8 years, but still enjoy your vids. Great content. Not sure why, but recently got the bug to build an rc drift car. I know, not much activity in that scene, but its fun to get back in the "zone" of building a custom car for myself. Research, see what's hot, what works, and build/add parts accordingly. Lots to learn for me, totally different animal. Missed it tbo. Cheers!
If you snag one of those latemodels you should run it at the week before the chili bowl! The event is call the Mudboss Shootout, it was an absolute blast this year and definitely an event that is a must in oval though it is brand new
@RyanHarrisRC you can also get more track time with a Sprint car seeing as they run a ROAR approved 13.5 class on ellipse tires, I know when I ran my Sprint there it felt dialed, only thing that hindered me from advancing was driver not wanting to push any issue and cook his electronics lol
How do you know when these races are coming up or located? I live in Tulsa and saw ads for the full size sprint cars but nothing on this level. Congrats as well!
Definitely should grab a traxxas late model to run on the channel also oddly enough I think a asphalt race with the losi nascar you would like too since you have raced the legend car that way too I think you would like that
First find a local track go on a race day and ask questions, depending on your skill level is more or less going to dictate where you start. If you have limited experience personally I would start in Mudboss with Bl-2 brushless. You can probably start up in a novice class for around $500 (everything new) you can find deals with racers that are building new or moving on for pretty reasonable. About 15 years ago a rolling chassis would cost you between $700-900 so even with inflation it's gotten a bit less expensive.
Sprint cars are the best of the best! Starting with a Traxxas Slash or 2wd buggy conversion to an appropriate local class might be an easier starting point.
It’s the Ryan Ralph shimmy for me 😂
These types of events are all about having a good time with your friends and fans, the racing is just a bonus.
Best RC content on the interwebs!
Feature length Race video!!... Love your work, your racing and the effort you put into our incredible Hobby. Thank you Whitz for making this happen.
Pleasure meeting you. Great content as always.
That sprint car looks so cool.

It’s such a tough event but it’s always a great time.
Ryan if you had fun you won man😂😂😂
Yes you have to get a slash modified and a late model body
I got mine and I color matched all the suspension
That sprint caused the Wreck He Shouldnt have Drove off in front of you, it was HIS fault..
🤐
Love 🔥🤙🏁
Awesome video Ryan! How are you liking the FlySky radio? I love Late Models and Midwest Modifieds.
My favorite radio so far!

That’s a great idea, I’ll have to try and make that happen!

Another left turn!!
The anxiety at 25:00 😅

Scotty Ernst has been doing this race at the same time of year for several years! Look up RC Chili Bowl on Facebook and you'll find the info there

Hell yes!!!
Good job MAN . Was it Chili or COLD?
It was opposite of Fl 😬
Ryan Ralph races at my home track, Highside hobby’s and raceway 3.
May god have mercy on your local crowd 😅
@@RyanHarrisRC It’s tough to get a club race win. 😅
THIRD TIMES THE CHARM
Calculated 😅
How many sets of tires did you prepare per car
What camera do you use for the POV driving? I’m trying to get some footage for my own RC track days.
What are the red corner tassels sticking out of the ground in the corners called? I’ve been looking for those for a while.
Not sure… I would reach out to Scotty or another dirt oval track builder for that info
Google "grade whiskers". We use them in construction.
It’s Dustin Malicoat* not Malicote🤣 but the graphic was cool lol
He texted me about it already 😅
👍👍👍!
Did anyone else notice the traxxas late model leak @ 3:23?
Big Fan 🫶
Hearing of a few burned up ESC's has me wondering which one it was...
Looks like the R1 digital line, to me.
Yes it was :(
Ah man. Sure hope this doesn’t need to be reuploaded two times
YouTubing is hard ok! lol
Hate to say it but you drove up on the curb and lost some speed when you "got dumped" Great job overall and thanks so much for making this video.
650 bucks for the kit??? Oml
