As an academic I agree in toto! I have been exasperated by the lack of any philosophical grounding at the national level and, indeed, in all spheres including the academia that I belong. I am currently trying to understand the philosophical roots of what we do, and sadly is the realisation there in none. Our nation is, sadly, a zombie aimlessly driven by materialism!
Zambia calls itself a Christian nation meaning that christian philosophy should guide how we are governed and how the governed hold the governors to account but if you look closely 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿

Most people are essentially not conscious therefore they can't philosophize
Philosophy is not an act of concerted effort. Simply to live is to philosophise
