    Just got your BlueDriver OBDII for all my p71 and ppv Tahoe’s. Maybe even my wife’s new car if she gets a code. This old cop cars are tanks and with regular maintenance I haven’t had many problems. Some are reaching close to 20 years now so this thing has been a time and money saver. LOVE IT! These videos are awesome, too. Thank you for putting such an awesome device on the market for a almost scary low cost. I feel I should be owing you guys some money. Great company you’ve built. Thank you

    Great video. I would like to add for those with plug wire testing is to get in a dark area allow time for your eyes to adjust to the darkness and run the engine at idle in this well ventilated area and look. You will see the spark.

    I got P300, 301, 2 and 3 in our 2013 Honda Pilot 184,000 miles. It was running great and there’s no noticeable misfires so I’m bewildered at why those codes were thrown. So I pulled the plugs out on 1 and 2 and they looked ok, I didn’t bother with 3. The reason being that the codes said that all 3 were misfiring and I now know that it’s not because of the plugs. So then I swapped the coils between 1 and 4 to check to see if I could tell if #1 coil is bad, but when I go to crank the car, it was dead. I charge my battery over night. This morning it cranks right up and sounds fine and since the dead battery cleared the codes, I ran the quick scan to see what it would say. It only came back with 2 totally new codes. The one for the car seat heater switch and another for the AC. Then I drove it about 18 miles to see if they’d come back on and so far they haven’t. Several hours later and I just did a full scan with the Blue Driver and it’s still not giving any new codes. So I cleared the heat seater and AC ones that had popped up (they work fine) and I’m guessing a bad or slowly draining battery caused all of this weirdness. I think a new dashcam I recently got and had plugged in must’ve actually been draining the battery just enough that it could’ve done this. I had forgotten to unplug it. The car battery isn’t that old. Is it possible for a battery to make random codes pop up that you think are in error or is there something more serious going on?

    • @LemurMonitors
      @LemurMonitors  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi! A low charged or defective battery may cause all sorts of issues with electrical components and cause random codes due to low system voltage. If you've experienced any battery issues (i.e. a dead battery) we'd suggest that you test your battery and charging system first before diagnosing any codes. Proper system voltage is a key component before trying to diagnose/repair DTCs and vehicle faults. Good luck!

    I installed new plugs. Cyl 2 and 8 had misfires under light load, be fore and after plug change. Moved cyl8 coil to 7 and 2 to 3, Still have misfires on 8 and 2. My car is 2015 mustang GT Roush stage3. I’m narrowing it down to the VCT solenoids or injectors.

    My 2014 nissan y62 320hp has some weird misfire, it does it for around 6 seconds every 1-2mins randomly. Changed spark plugs, coils, still have the problem. Scanned for any error codes none found. The only things that worries me that when the misfire happens I starts to hear the sound of the lifters loudly, any idea what might be the problem?.

    I'm curious why a $120 Launch scanner can read misfires on my 2003 Cadillac Deville DHS but the Bluedriver can't? Also, the same Launch scanner can read the ABS code on my 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee but the Bluedriver can't? Also, my Bluedriver keeps telling me there's an update but after doing the update it's still the same version.

    I have a 2006 altima 2.5. Code P0302. New set of plugs then swap coils around same code moved the injector around same code. Replace cylinder 2 injector to no avail. When to the dealer he told me I needed to replace it and have the rest of the injectors clean at a whopping price of 1000.00.
    Car idles rough but when you put foot on the gas ever so slightly it runs smooth. No loss of power no excessive fuel consumption . Only idles rough. Suggestions?

      I had multiple coils on my v8 that were only half faulty, so it wouldn’t throw a code and engine idle wouldn’t change when you swapped them around either. Finally just ate the $ and bought OEM new coil packs for 35 a piece. Ran like new again

    After the knock sensor replacement on the 2002 chevy tahoe v8, i got a p0300 code on my Bluedriver app and the car was trembling. I changed the intake manifold gasket and throttle body gasket, and the car no longer trembled or hesitated to stay on. Just some advice for anyone out there

    • @iam1smiley1
      @iam1smiley1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The intake manifold leak will make the engine think it's running lean because of unmeatered air coming into the engine, the O² sensor will sense a lean condition and add extra fuel to compensate for what it thinks is a lean condition but it's actually gagging on all the fuel.
      This would also be noticed by as a lean condition in your short and long term fuel trim data on live data with Blue driver. Fuel trim is taken after engine is warm and should normally be 0% but can fluctuate 5-10% either way. The "lean" condition will set a code if it exceeds 25%. Fuel trim will Improve when you drive if the vacuum leak is smallish, otherwise you have other issues.

    The only reason I haven't purchased a Blue Driver is b/c the fine folks at Blue Driver say it won't give ABS brake info for a 1999 Camry. HOW COULD THEY MISS THIS? I asked them this 2 years ago and they STILL have not added this data. HEY BLUE DRIVER.... THERE'S STILL A TON OF 90's CAMRYS ON THE ROAD. Consider having all data for every Camry, Corolla Accord and Civic ever made. Just sayin'.
