A few simple changes would make Door 150 so much more bearable:
1: Remove Hide from that specific door so that he doesn't just kick you out while a Grumble is still camping the tunnel you're in.
2: Give Grumbles a light in the direction they're facing, like they did with Figure to make it easier to keep track of them. There's only so much you can do with sound when there are 2-3 of them moving around you at any given time.
3: Add more lockers to dead ends so that they aren't just guaranteed game overs, or an in-game map you can pick up in the generator room so you know where you're going. You shouldn't have to look up a map separately while you're playing the game just to not corner yourself by accident.
honestly the map part is just a memory issue
Basically removing the fun from door 150
It sucks because two of them can corner you. 150 sucks.
@@skin350 The map is also for players that are new to the floor. I don't think anyone wants to have to play through to door 150, spend like 10 minutes avoiding grumbles just to die five times over, all to get a basic idea of what the area is like. Before anyone says it, no, they should not have to look up a map online. If you need to use outside sources to make a stage bearable, that's a sign of poor level design.
Grumbles's tentacle does not have collision so you can go past them@@Lifetime10154
Personally, I’d say the game was a bit unfair at first, however after patches, I love it! I don’t think it’s too hard in places or the difficulty isn’t well spread out.
I also think the gameplay is really fun and exciting, and I’ve had loads of fun playing it. Door 150 is pretty easy for me, but I can definitely see why some people struggle on it. I’ve had the most trouble with door 200 to be honest, I died there a lot more than 150 before I beat it.
Not only that, the fact that they went back and added new stuff to the old floors aswell? I’m convinced there’s barely any other developers out there that would do that sort of stuff.
Huge W from lpslash on this one, they really outdid themselves.
door 200 is ez i beat it first try
I feel like if they revert the difficulty changes for things besides 150 the rest of the game is easy 150 is not even hard just aggravating and time consuming the maps to big and way to easy to be stuck in a loop or just getting cornerd

It was very worth the wait in my opinion, everyone neglects the amount of graphics and tiny effects that could take weeks to be implemented alone. One of the best updates a Roblox game has ever had
why is everything involving a hotel with demons and monsters coming out in two years per segment?
coding an entity perfectly takes time, trial and error. @@macsurak
@@macsurak because making such a big update takes time?
between the planning, building, modelling, coding, animating, debugging, balancing, animating, composing music/overall sound design, and so on and so forth, especially considering its mainly 2 devs, albeit they got some contributors, but at the core of it it's still 2 devs
game developping is hard, and it being a roblox game does not make it easier, also while making OTHER updates such as modifiers and the april fools updates.
overall, the devs work hard, pay respect to them :)
(but yea i do understand what your point is 2 years is pretty long lol)
@macsurak
Don't take my word for this, but I heard the devs had to restart from scratch and also were dealing with some legal stuffs
@@Creeper_945 I meant haz hotel which is another show on prime, which is also about a hotel that has monsters and demons, but it’s different than this and they both take a similar amount of time to make
the reason the floor came out so slowly is because they werent just working on floor 2 as you could see. they were also revamping entities like seek, eyes, figure, halt and screech (mostly animation changes), and they also added new rooms into the hotel, whilst revamping the infirmary. and replacing the tablet with a barrel of piss

You know I like how everyone brags about how pressure is more difficult than doors. But then when doors tries to be harder everyone complains.
Actually pressure and pre nerf floor 2 difficulty was different first of all pressures mechanics were simple and similar to hotel which is simple and easy to understand once u know the angler variants and the hazards on pressure while floor 2 doors is completely different they simply stacked the monsters spawn rate like eyes were too common and giggles and gloombats were a huge threat as going in blind for your 1st try also rush was delayed and hide was a big threat with their minigames also rush was too late rushing in most likely they rush when eyes and giggles were most active for seek and grumbles part it feels normal and balanced imo
Also pressure still has the doors hotel elements which many players are familliarized so dont compare both as both mechanics has huge differences
Doors floor 2 feels like an extremely unbalanced buffed game
like something that was meant to be easier but was forced to be hard
@@polyscapes Welpnow it easy cause a lot of people complained.
Seek is actually one of the main reasons why players play doors.
Anddddddddd door 50/150 is the reasons why players quit doors
chase give more dopamine than hard door with scary anxiety
@@Idrisroblox_devThen they have to deal with it,this is a horror game not an obby
@@Idrisroblox_dev I think it's less the anxiety, more the frustration at having to redo 50 doors just to get another shot at the thing that they're having trouble with. The Seek chases are fairly straight-forward, since Guiding Light always shows you where to go, but 50/150 don't have that. You're kinda just left to figure things out on your own. 50 and 100 aren't too hard once you get the hang of it, but 150 is harder than both, imo.
Bro Door 150 is hard at first but if you start knowing what you’re doing then it should be a piece of cake! People just complain a lot 🙄 I don’t think they are even trying.
@@Mushroomdan I know the entire map. IT'S JUST GRUMBLES ARE CAMPERS
Personally I think this was completely worth it and most players who are complaining about this being too hard had two years to beat the game and still didn't. I still see players going in elevators to do for one of course the launch was a bit buggy but so many players were joining so of course but people saying it's too hard. I feel like some players forget that you're meant to die in doors it's the whole point of the game.
A lot more stuff they remade the hotel a little bit which they didn't have to do they gave us a brand new item finally used an item we knew about before overall they improved the game a lot in the graphics look amazing waiting 2 years for this yeah it was worth it
The whole gameplay loop is to die to something, guiding light says skill issue and you don't die to the entity again
the game is not that easy, really. I've beaten the game alot of times, but i think the figure has gotten somehow too aggresive. But it is not that hard otherwise
@@froozefang I mean I definitely agree figure is much more aggressive like he reacts to the smallest things which I think it's fine for floor 2 and his boss fight in floor one because he's an actual danger now like you actively need to avoid in this skulking monstrosity of flesh and Bones
I have Hotel Hell and A-1000, still don’t have Hundred of Many. I love The Mines, but they’re definitely doing a little too much with Floor 150. The lockers arguably really shouldn’t have Hide when Floors 50 and 100 have _never_ had Hide. Also should be disabled for the Figure fuse room but that’s beside the point. The Grumble pathfinding is too wonky. If you die to them, you definitely made a poorly thought out decision, but oftentimes so much of your time is wasted because of them camping you out. Really artificially slows down the pace of the game, which feels particularly jarring after the amazing Seek chase scene. I had a run yesterday where after I completed the C anchor, I was stuck there for around 5-10 minutes because of Grumbles camping me out outside. Every time one would leave, another took its place. No real threat of killing me, but just wasted a lot of time and there’s really nothing I can do about it until they go elsewhere. I was stuck in there so long that I watched a youtube video on my phone to pass the time.
I have some other gripes with the Mines too, like how sensitive doors are to opening sometimes causing you to open them way earlier than you intended, or how Floor 200 has so many tricks that make it where you don’t even really have to engage with the platforming mechanic to reach all the valves, the laser pointer and the handless flashlight being pretty awful items, gold being seemingly incredibly infrequent compared to the Hotel, and some other critiques I have, but I’m mostly nitpicking with those. Definitely an improvement over the Hotel, but I really hope they at the very least tinker with the Grumble pathfinding a little more to prevent tedious scenarios where the player is basically stuck somewhere until the Grumbles decide to leave. Either way, I like the general direction the devs are going and I can’t wait to enjoy their future updates as well.
EDIT: I changed my mind about the laser pointer. It’s the second best light source in the game only behind the Possessed Candle.
@@ClareAmel bullshit
I think guiding light disappearing in the second seek chase is intentional, i think its supposed to be something like the hotel chase where you have to look both ways to understand which is the right way to go, but in this case, you have to react faster and there are way more ways to mess up. I've been tricked in those pipe rooms mulitple times, but what i've also noticed is i never usually die, even though i mess up the directions so much. In my opinion the last chase is pretty balanced and let's you do a couple of minor mistakes. After a while the chase just becomes easy
I mean floor 2 is supposed to be harder after all 🧐

I do think the Mines needs a Mines+ update. Maybe a just couple of new entities could be added, such as Gurgle, an aquatic version of Giggle that tries to pull you underwater, or Guffaw, which is the in-between stage of Giggles and Grumbles that will camouflage itself and hide behind a hiding spot, waiting for you to hide there before it attacks by pushing on the locker doors with its tentacles, trying to trap you inside as it devours the locker with you inside. Also I think encountering the Lookman rarely in the Mines (much less common than in the Backdoor) would be pretty cool.

This vid is so underrated. For me it feels like a 100k view vid.
Honestly I wouldn't say so, it kind of just feels like a fetch quest in most rooms, whereas in door 1 the most amount of time you'd stay in a room would be like 1 minute to 2 minutes tops. I think however that the changes to the pre-existing entities are great, and they make them just a bit more enticing to go against, from being completely overhauled (halt) to having very minor changes (rush), they still feel fun to play against. However, one entity that got trashed on this floor was Figure, I mean he was the main antagonist of the previous floor, and now he appears twice and is relatively easy to go against???
Now, the three new entities honestly suck in my opinion. First we have the Gloombats, which honestly everybody just forgets. They are a nuisance, entities are supposed to have a chance at killing you, not simply being annoying. All you have to do is turn off your light source and you're immediately safe. Then there's the giggles, just a nuisance but kinda a threat, although I hate how they make you have to look up. Grumbles are self explanatory, nobody likes door 150 because of these guys, cause they are just sort of unfair.
for me its peak. door 150 and 200 are hard, but once you understand how to do them they become very fun, and the seek chase has the best OST i've heard on a roblox game and it still gives you a feeling of anxiety even after 200 times you beat it. i love it. worth the wait 100%
i think we all forgot that door 150 and 50 are hard for people at the start and i think we will get better at it
It’s great to see that me and my friend weren’t just having a major skill issue when the update first released
"RELEASE THE UPDATE ALREADY"
"NOOOOO WHY IS IT HARDER THAN FLOOR 1 FIX IT"

Doors floor 2 is floor 1 but better imo. Better chase scenes new enemies more mechanics and a cool final boss. The only thing that holds it back imo is the ridiculous amount of time and practise to beat room 150 the first time. The grumbles ai is designed to constantly be near you and camp, making it extremely difficult to move and leave an area and sometimes cornering you.
6:10 im dying from that sentence
Its beautiful. It was worth the wait.
FUN FACT: Doors floor 2 is unfinished but was mostly finished so they decided to release it on the day of doors official release.
When it comes to the difficulty for door 150, I will just say this. Doors is a game rooted on repetition and and learning over time. Floor 2 prevents this from happening due to generator rooms (would've preferred like one part instead of three), Figure bugging out and suddenly finding out exactly where you are despite you throwing a glowstick, that one water room, entity spawns being unhinged (Eyes + Giggle + Screech should be banned), and a slow loading time, it becomes a chore to get back to. Rooms like 150 and 145-148 are so different from floor 1 that you want to build that repetition on them so that you can improve but it's difficult to do that when it's a chore to get there. Better yet, I SHOULDN'T FIND MYSELF HAVING TO OPEN UP A MAP FOR A DOOR BECAUSE OF IT'S DIFFICULTY DAMMIT (I did this for 150 because the map is so big that it is easy way too easy to get lost.
Floor 2 came out really well, and since its release i already have like 30-40 hours in it, i do feel we waited longer then we should have for it but because of how absolutely peak it is i think it was worth the wait
Apparently they had to rewrite the entire game
It just feels like they got so excited with finally being done that they instantly uploaded the game. Not only did they do the rookie gamedev mistake of balancing for themselves instead of the players, but the game is literally FULL of glitches. It was very fun when Halt locked you in a big gas room with a generator, or when he locked you in with Figure and you get instantly heard because you didnt know to crouch. And the execution is kinda meh too. Figure, the big bad of the hotel, chasing you through the mines, yeah lets just randomly forget about him with no proper ending to his story because Seeks cooler now. And dont even get me started on how poorly the game was optimised, it honestly takes the life out of me
Yes, it was. Even if you don’t really like the new floor, devs optimized the code of the game which means that we’ll be getting new floors much quicker than floor 2.
I honestly really love floor 2, I think the atmosphere really sells it for me because the hotel is a lot less scary
keep in mind, this is the 4th released floor of doors, as rooms and the backdoor count because they have alot of mechanics in them similar to doors. maybe not as much, but they should still be considered. plus there's only 4 main devs (i think)
but i do agree they 100% shouldve bugtested more
This update is amazing. Having lots of fun with my mates trying to beat it blindly. We got to the last boss battle and nearly completed it, and i believe our next few attempts we will get it. The amount of times someone blew himself up with a lighter or threw a minecart at a friend is amazing lol. They're like:"if you don't give me that item imma blow myself up and we start over again". Also, the door 50 of floor 2 is ridiculous.

I waited two years for doors floor 2 and my game crashes whenever I try to do any run any floor so I can’t even play the game anymore
IMO floor 2 was DEFINATELY worth the wait. Its so fun for me, but also challenging at the same time. Althought figure is TOO aggressive now.
guiding light disapearing for you at the 195 seek chase is because thats guiding light turning directions, basically you have to look in every direction on the next intersection when that happens
definetly worth it, it was so much fun playing through it, the seek chases were fantastic, the grumble boss fight could still be nerfed, but its still a pretty cool boss fight and the final boss is pretty cool and fun, could be buffed tho, and the sections where you are just opening doors are pretty fun, and when you are playing alone it gives such a good ambience. even tho we only have 3 new entities, with giggle, grumble and the glowbats, many of the past entities got big changes, like hide and eyes for example.
Great ending! Your choice of music really matched the ending feeling!
One of the reasons they didn’t add a ton of stuff is probably because a large amount of the time spent on the update was optimizing all of the code
People need to understand most of, if not the entire wait was because the devs had to deal with the massive problem that was Figure’s AI and rewriting the game. The next floors will go by extremely faster.
It was ABSOLUTELY worth the wait. It's actually amazing imo
It seems like in response to pressure's release that they needlessly over buffed a ton of the entities to inflate the difficulty before release, makes it way too hard for the literal infant audience of the playerbase 😭🙏
Let me say this right now people were talking about hurry up and then they say it’s a rush update when they hurried up
With the issues, majority of them are just tweaks to ensure fairness instead of major critical issues. Which is why this update was worth the wait, as long as the devs commit to completing some tweaks to ensure fair gameplay.
For me, it wasnt worth the wait, because I didnt realize I was prepared for this difficult challenge. Im also a skill issue so yeah. I dont like the floor 2 update AT ALL.
WERE THOSE THE DEATHS OF 87?
Once I got giggles, and eyes and rush, so I ran into the next room and that room had gas and snares with lockers very far away, so I moved to the next room, and it was a gloombat room with more giggles and I died from giggle not letting me enter a locker. this was before the nerf and now I'm glad entity's wont stack as much allowing this to happen.

I feel like the people hating just have a skill issue, floor 2 might be hard at first (as it's supposed to be) but once you get the hang of it it becomes super easy to consistently beat the game. And after personally practing and beating floor 2 a few times I can say it's actually super fun and well made. My only criticism is the game taking too long because of generators and large room layouts.
I absolutely LOVE Doors Floor 2, honestly my favorite out of the two. I do say however that looting can get really annoying during the beginning of the game, but after floor 150 its not so bad.

OH, YES RUSH IS NOW EXTREMELY BUGGY, HE EVEN KILLED ME IN MIDDLE OF SEEK CHASE
Although I do have a few nitpicks with Floor 2, I would say it was definitely worth the wait. The setting is simple but well executed. It's hard, but not unfair (At least now after the patch). It has a cool middle and end encounter. It just does a lot right, and even if the wait was a while, we know the devs had reason for taking so long. We also know that we won't be waiting nearly as long for Floor 3 which is nice as well.
Also, I am hyped for the castle aesthetic Floor 3 will have, they can do so much with it.
2:48 this is not true in the slightest. blud got turned into a side character
Worth the wait, no explanation needed
Dude the second seek chase is OMG it’s so annoying guiding light barely appears when you enter the pipes if you have to stop to check every direction before your sure where your going is right I die everytime at this point
Maybe there will be a mines+ update like how there was a hotel+ update
Uh oh better beat mines before mines+ comes
The mines are already good though. Door 150 is the only thing that would warrant any sort of small change.
I think the patch made the early game perfectly fine. But they should've atleast made the sewers have more entity stacking. Since now the hardest part of the game is the first seek chase/the hive. (Which are funnily enough my favorite parts.)
They also could've made door 200 harder. It was so much of a let down having the final door be less epic than the first seek chase AND the hive. They should've made it so you grab a valve's wheel on a floating platform. Instead of just having the valves already have the wheels on them. Just makes the gameplay boring since all you do is get to the other side instead of actually having a reason to stay on the floating platforms.
If there are difficulty modifiers to add these features for people who are willing to deal with this feature, I would be glad!
These features you suggested were actually very good. Also not to mention, Floor 2 is meant to be harder so it would make sense.
If the final room had a massive spike I would have thrown my chair out the window
@@Jordanisokatosu it couldve been a bit harder, its piss easy compared to 150

FUN FACT: YOU CAN HIDE IN DRAWERS TOO (works for floor 1, 2)
2 new entities after 2 years? ok..
grumble is evolved giggle.
I agree the second seek chase is just straight up unfair if there was a there, I probably would’ve already been in the game
three new entities... just three. and two of those are just different-sized variations of eachother. and when are we gonna get new png entities outside of optional subfloors like the backdoor and the rooms?! i really wanted to see what lots of creative new entity designs and gimmicks the creators could come up with, but all we got is bald screech that falls on you, bald screech that is really big and chases you, and insects. and also firedamp rooms.. i guess..? i almost prefer the fanmade floor 2 with greed, depth and silence.
It was delayed because a few lead devs were moving locations and left the game development to the smaller devs for a while. I'm still irritated with how they handled PR, essentially after the release date came to pass, the Discord mods decided to warn and ban anyone asking follow-up questions on the topic. The custom elevator update confused people into thinking the lead devs were stalling, and yet they still decided to go dark and ban anyone asking obvious questions.
When they got mad at the userbase for asking simple questions, I really lost a lot of respect for Doors. Is it really that hard to clarify common questions in a FAQ/announcement channel? Because pinning a post in a thread from eons ago is NOT helpful and DOESN'T explain the devs' silence months later.
I beat Floor 1 more than twenty times and finished April Fools twice. But Floor 2 isn't fun. Lockers are single-use, it's always dark, the first jump for the seek chase is brutally precise and unfair, and door 150 is a head-bashing game. There's nothing memorable to Floor 2, the early concept designs and trailers looked far more polished than what we got.
If ur doors fan (like me) and said "oh there not making the update" but then said "THEY SHOULDN'T EVER RELEASED IT" then pls think what u said before floor 2 came out
I made it to door 140 before. But I lagged so hard that I had to rejoin. I hope the same doesn’t happen to who is reading this :)
The only issue with the seek chase is that Sometimes It's hard to know where guiding light is gonna show you the correct direction, Which sometimes can Mislead you to the wrong direction.
It was 100% worth it, its much harder but not too hard, they didnt use figure for door 200 (really surprised me) and all the stuff they did too floor one made the game so much better
Also me personally, the fact that it took you that long to get to door 200 is not a skill issue, like i took me over 100 deaths to get there and i have not even beat it 💀💀💀
Me personally I feel like it was worth the wait, yeah I know it was hard as hell and buggy at the start, but they said they will fix some stuff and they also made it easier
One thing about 150 is that its very luck based imo, if you get good locations and dont have to go through the big tunnels its pretty easy
Here is a small but useful tip for the second seek chase sequence. Use the bulk flashlight because it is very bright and it allows you to see far in to the sewer pipes. Like that you wont really need to depend on guiding light too much.
it’s pretty good, and even now i’m still invested in doors, i just wish that even now it wasn’t so buggy. but to be fair, they are making games on roblox 😅
