Thank you Ian for your story, it touched my heart. My father was from Scotland, and he was very resourceful in getting us kids entertainment, he would find all kinds of stuff for us from dumps and everywhere (alot of times it was embarrassing) but I miss him now. I am born and raised in North America, which is where my father went to after WW2. Thank you again Ian for your story (I wish my father could have done this on his life) Thank you Ian, God Bless, Mike
Don’t know if you still use this but do you know of any Dunlop’s or Dunlop McGonigles still in port Glasgow? Me nan grew up there and attended Clune Park School.
@@ianmcgarrigle9510 Ah ok. I went on a genealogy site since and there’s dozens of people that are all related to me. Some had moved to London at the same time as me nan but have since lost touch.
@@Epidian I went up last year, I’ve got pictures of me nan in her class photograph in front of the school. Was gutted to see the school abandoned and in the condition it’s in.
Lovely. My mother and father were both born in Port Glasgow, and one grandfather. Only Mother remains, now 93. She’ll enjoy seeing this.

This is amazing Ian. Thank you. It will help an old Port Glaswegian to reminisce about home from Blackpool today.
Portonian is a native of the Port
Me great auntie Flora moved from Port Glasgow to Blackpool. Used to visit her in the early 90’s, great days!
