You did miss the community kitchen in the complex also called The Langer where on an average 70000 people enjoy free food every day and a lot more things about the darbar sahib Amritsar( The Golden Temple). There is a beautiful museum in the complex as well which could have helped your understanding. Sikhism gives high emphasis on equality of all kind, service, prayer, music and fighting for the rights. The Holy book is written in the sixteenth century and contains poetic hymns of the Gurus and devotees. It is a revealed religion like many others. The text is written in Gurmukhi script. Darbar Sahib was also built in the sixteenth centuries and faced many attacks from the haters. There is one omnipresent God who is formless and Genderless , idol worship is discouraged or criticized. The covering of head and removing shoes are the cultural aspects and related with respect.
Hello and thank you for all of this information! We did not miss the kitchen but because it has been mentioned before in so many other golden temple videos we did not want to repeat what most people already see. Since recording this we have learnt so much about the Sikh religious and beliefs and we find it all so interesting. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and watching our video, we really appreciate it ☺️
They are Sikhs in Malaysia too. When I was young, many of them were either in sports, business or security guards. In Malaysia, Sikhs do not need to wear helmets on a bike due to their turbans
when India was being invaded one after another by outsiders in ancient times it was the Punjab, now divided between India and Pakistan which took the most beating. because of genocides one after the other it gave birth to the warrior community called Sikh. they have saved millions of Indians specially women. they are a big reason that present day India not an Islamic country.
You are wrong again n again, Khalsa Or warrier community was formed only after 1699 ad, before that they beheaded gurus, raped women, enslaved children, Go to history books n come back silly man😂

@@EoinandAisling that’s a shame. Why not explain that on your video? To share with your audience that food is actually available at the temple. For most travellers I’m sure actually eating here would be a massive part of the experience.
@@sebwalker7826 exactly what I felt. They literally missed the best thing, the free food. In my opinion, they didn't even explore 10% of the temple. I went there like 10 years ago, I still remember everything. Spent like an hour and half in queue to go inside. It was hard standing for that long around other people but it was so majestic inside that it was worth it. Also, visited their museum and learned a lot about them. And before leaving, had the free food and man that was delicious and I still remember the taste.
Yes they do! It was great to see how many people were coming in from the streets to get possibly their only meal of the day. We did not go into the dining hall as we knew there were other people in need of these meals but it was something we very much appreciated

Sikh history is full of blood bravery and sacrifices.
I am sure you will be impressed.
We have since done a lot of research and found the history so so interesting
iwas there in november i went inside the temple also in 1984 it was attacked by the army they still have some bullet holes and stuff from the attack
You should have gone to eat the lngar. Golden temple feeds 100,000 people daily for free.
We knew they offered this amazing service and we sat round and watched as people got their meals, its a great idea
Why do you not show Jallianwala Bagh in your video
We visited here on another day while we were in Amritsar

*Are all Gods same?*
yes it is the same God but people interpretation of God is different and through guru teaching we will connect with God (side note guru is same as prophet) there are two kinds of sikhs one are sikh the one that cut hair and don't follow the guru teaching but still believe in god....and the gurusikhs (every Sikh end goal is to become a gurusikh) the one who follow the guru teaching.. a.k.a the khalsa the people who carry the little knife and wear the 5ks

WHAT HELL AND HEAVEN IN SIKHISM
well to simplify we don't believe in hell ...as the world we live in is hell we just reincarnation over and over again until we get ego free and until bad karma get cleaned and then go to heaven ....like if you have like lots of bad krama you just reincarnation into animals over and over as animals have souls like we do everything is equally in God eyes the first guru nanak ji said that there are 84 lakh animals form the worst of the worst will reincarnation into before they are reincarnation into a human being again if you don't have a lot of bad karma but you didn't connect with God then you reincarnation into human beings again and this time you will reincarnation into a religious family
*you have any questions ask me*
side note the name waheguru is what sir guru nanak jev ji called god but guru nanak ji did say that people give him different names as when God is described in guru granth sahib it is written in number like it is written Ek Onkar meaning one God or the number 1 but people need a name to chant and pray to that why guru nanak ji give a name to God the name waheguru meaning wonders Lord... that why name waheguru was given.... thought I should explain it clearly
