    There is an art to flying a Radian if you are use to regular powered airplanes which do wheel takeoffs and landings, fast climb out and aerobatics. With a Radian, everything happens in slow motion. Don't launch at full throttle or the thing will start doing loops...lol. Use 1/4-1/2 and hand launch straight out, not pointed upward. Turns require a lot of rudder especially if there is wind. Great glider once you get use to it.

    Flies nice! I lost my original Parkzone Radian in a tree and that version is impossible to find now. I have a Night Radian that I gutted the LED's and controller out of. Installed an ELRS receiver right at the very front and fly it on either 850 or 1000 3s batteries also right up against the front bulkhead. The 1000 3s is a nice compromise. Much lighter than the recommended 2200 but still gives a few great climb-outs.

      Yeah I heard that the original radian was the best / lightest, pretty happy to find one.

      you had to try to recover the glider stuck in the tree with a fishing rod... This glider is the best for me, I like to see it fly! I will build one in depron this will be my challenge

    Please tell me what are the parameters of the carbon wing clutch? I inherited this plane and didn't get a wing coupler for it and can't find the length, diameter, and bore anywhere to replace it with a proper one with similar strength. Thank you very much.

      The wing connector tube is 700 mm long by 10 mm diameter. Mines somewhat flexible, could benefit from a stiffer tube

      @@jay.the.mole.7143 Hello, thank you very much for the lightning fast response to my question. I tried to insert 10mm of carbon into the wing and it doesn't want to be too loose and I don't want to push it in there by force. Can't the diameter be a little smaller? Can I ask you to measure with a caliper? I found a replacement part somewhere on the web, but I'm not sure if it's the one for my Radian. This one has the parameters: Wing Tube for the Radian/Pro. Specs: Length: 27-1/2 in (700mm); Outer Diameter: 0.375in (9.5mm); Inner Diameter: 0.265in (6.7mm).

      @@krotitelduchu you're right it is actually just under 10 mm, around 9.6 - 9.7 mm with calipers

    Any better version of this yet? Looks pretty good otherwise.

      I love it how it is, opens up so many weird little slopes for flying as it needs so little lift and is robust

      Next steps would be to swap out motor for lighter

    How did you get it to balance with such a small battery?

    • @jay.the.mole.7143
      @jay.the.mole.7143  ปีที่แล้ว

      No trouble, could even put the battery further forward. The electric motor is quite heavy, older type

      There's actually opportunity to swap out the motor for much lighter one, and save a lot of weight, been keen to try. Be able to save 100 g ish I reckon
