I cracked up when you said “I don’t like to be told what to do, even by myself”. 😂 We are so much a like having so many expectations for ourselves. For the red bird swing, knots by jak has the mini flockers patterns with a great red bird and its tiny & quick. I made a swing from that & it sold on Saturday. It was so cute. I actually made several types of birds on swings that sold. Also, I will absolutely help you at the retreat with whatever you need. I can’t wait to meet you & all of the gang in just a few more weeks!!
We are really hitting the busy season and prep time is so important. I seriously need to make a plan and stick to it because I'm worried I'll get to my biggest 2-day event and run out. I'm taking Jan/Feb of next year to rest, evaluate and plan for the new year in a way I've never done before Happy Prepping 🌺
I tried so hard to use my summer months "off" from markets wisely but so hard to keep pushing yourself! Best of luck making your plan, you got this too! Most importantly though, enjoy it! 😁
You’re amazing! I love your energy and enthusiasm for crafting. I work full time also and just started doing markets so I’m really learning from your experience. Thanks so much!
Hi Stacy! Both your markets did great, yay! I get being worried about inventory, I’m like that too. I just finished my inventory list (but I put it on a spreadsheet). Another hurricane is coming this week and Robin and our big fall market is set for this coming weekend. Depending on damage, we may or may not have it🥲 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Look at you being in the 21st century with your spreadsheet lol. I love spreadsheets and work with them at my full time job all the time just something about writing it on a piece of paper I can easily grab, mark out, add to, etc. Lol. Stay safe this week! 😁
so swinging plushies have sort of become my thing lately... i work with a local cafe and they sell them like crazy. i do solid color swings (discovered that worsted weight in grey for all works best) and have ghosts, pumpkins, spiders, bees, zomBEES, zombies, chicken, chicks, frogs, etc. i pretty much freehand the whatever i put on the swings and i'm confident if i can do that, you absolutely can because i haven't written any patterns. honestly, i find that making them about 10 rows high and 18 stitches wide is perfection.
Two really good markets! I'm a pen and paper person too. 🤣I think writing helps to keep things fresh in the mind. Good luck getting that prep done. My inventory is the same way a huge variety and sometimes I question if that is the right way so it makes me feel better seeing I am not the only one.
I've been stalking your etsy looking for that pattern for that adorable scarecrow you made a few videos back. Am really hoping that you release a pattern soon.
Oh I'm sorry I set it aside freaking out that I needed to focus on inventory! 😂 I'm not sure I'll get to it this fall unfortunately. It's a fairly complex with pics and instructions too so not sure Im going to fit it in. Sorry
Thanks for keeping things real! I like the idea of a focus list. I know after shows or doing big restock of shops i sell at, I can get overwhelmed and excited at the same time! You got this!!
Have to share what helped my achy hands from market prep. There is an over the counter cream called voltaren that my dr suggested and it’s so good! Actual medicine, not like icy hot. I get the wal mart brand and it’s great. Reduced swelling and pain. I put it on before bed. Worth a try.
Hi, I thoroughly enjoy your videos. You’re amazing doing all you do plus a full time job! I would like to ask about the yarn that you said was interchangeable with posh. What’s the name of it and where do you buy it? Thanks so much. Keep up the beautiful work!
Hello, thanks for sharing. I am a newbie and wondered if you could please share where you bought your table covers. Thank you and best sales to you in future markets!
I do $12 for my swining chicks and mallards and they are a bit smaller and I can't keep them in stock. Yours are bigger I t hink you totally can get $15 for those minimum!!
Hi Stacy great video and I just love how you share all your info with us❤I love Gordon the gator and I made a few but was wondering how much you sell him at markets. I also want to get your pig and cow patterns too❤
Hey I heard you mention a yarn that’s basically the same as posh with more colors. I thought I’d remember it without jotting it down but I did not. Can you let me know what brand that was again? Thanks!
Yes, it's knotty ball yarn by kaylaskrafts97 find her in IG and then her link tree is in her profile! It's just like posh and has so many colors. Completely interchangeable! Using it right now in fact ,😂😂 (not sponsored lol)
Total sales minus booth fees is NOT your profit, sorry. Take out all your overhead (materials, gas, insurance, self employment taxes, food at the event...), then tell us your "profit". If you like doing the shows, fine. Good luck on the BIG ONE coming up. Rule of thumb is at least $1000 worth of inventory for each day.
Totally NOT me just now realizing I’m watching things out of order 🫣. Natural blonde (& gray) here; gotta speak S L O W L Y for me! Two markets in one week is A LOT. Way to go!!! ☺️🫶🏻🧶🧡

Good luck on your market prep! It’s nice that you have Tara who is also making inventory to be ready for your big market. Love watching your videos!
Thank you!! Yes no way could I do these large shows without her and her inventory! ❤️❤️❤️

Yes I was very surprised these two markets did so well! Thanks for watching and stay safe this week! 😀
Just an FYI, you can also screenshot the reel for the pattern😊

Team pen and paper forever! Haha! Where is your big November market? Coming closer to my area? haha

I'm definitely doing at least $12. Appreciate the advice. I might do $15 at our big show.
I've never used knotty ball yarn, but i love the idea of having so many colors. Is it similar in size to parfait chunky or sweet snuggles light?
It's similar only really to big twist posh. 😁
@@Stacymakesi gotta go find this !! Thanks for sharing that info
Hi Stacy great video and I just love how you share all your info with us❤I love Gordon the gator and I made a few but was wondering how much you sell him at markets. I also want to get your pig and cow patterns too❤
