  • My ecoprinting on paper process uses steam, water, and pressure to draw out the color from flowers and leaves. I can set up my old skillet in the garage where I have electricity and room to ecoprint without risking making a mess in my kitchen. This process is easy and uses common tools and supplies.

Love this method and the results. Have you tried this with fabric? Do you use any mordant? Thank you ❤

I haven't! Sounds like a great idea. I focus on small work, but I'm sure I could make some fabrics for my journals. Thanks for asking about it.❤

Can you tell me size of you tiles and the temperature you set your skillet? I have been Eco printing for some time but have always done the boil method. Takes a lot longer. I use alum in my paper soaking tray and iron supplement capsules in the tray where I soak my plant material. I will send pics as soon as I figure out how. I am looking forward to trying your method. Thank you

Hi, Cheryl, I use 8x8 tiles because they fit in my skillet. I used to have a larger skillet (burnt it out) that could hole 9x12 tiles. And I use 250 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Hope this is helpful.
