I LOVE THE TREY VS GLENN
So most of the small heads use the nice small EL 84's (nor the big beasts EL34) The other users of EL84 on the regular is VOX. EL84's are a bit more chimer and don't really give the bass response of 6L6 amplifiers.

Thomann only just did a video on this amp. It's freaking awesome. Engl also have a Powerball pedal which also sounds absolutely killer \m/. Have to put this Engl Fireball 25 on my list for one of the best low wattage high gain amps.
I’m looking at both of these and I’m trying to see which ones best.I like the extras on the iron ball special edition but I’m just wondering is the distortion as good as the fireball or even better?
Beat Glenn’s tone easily. Sounds good, as expected, since The Fireball 100 is a burning beast too. If it’s way cheaper than the 100W head, that’s gonna clean the floor with other mini tube heads.
unfortunately its not much cheaper. better off just going with the 100 watt. sucks it isnt cheaper.

@@antonwilding9744 well UK prices don't mean a thing to me bud. I'm in canada and the 25 watt cost like 2000 dollars. The 100 watt is like 2500. So it's more worth is for me to get the 100 watt. That's what I'm talking about buddy.
@@riffer-t ah okay . I hear you . Well i´, living in Germany . I got the same with Mesa amps lol . They cost a fortune here . I think at the end it depends what you need . a 100 Watts Fireball can be played at bedroom level ? And even when it looses alot of punch tho , also exchanging 2 Poweramp tubes for the 25 Watts version is cheaper than exchanging 4 in the long run . Yeah i know first world problems lol . I really love the sound of the 100 Watts Fireball as well it is fkn killer no jokeing around . I also love the internal Tube Monitoring of the Fireball 100 . There is my Dilemma LOL. I´m saveing up for the Fireball 25 atm , but i´m also thinking about getting a Fireball 100 of the retail market and use an external Power Soak , you get some great deals here sometimes with just €550 - €650 for an used Fireball 100 . Tough decision bro LOl . At the end i go with the available option , the Fireball 25 ir very popular here and sold out quickly and then you have to wait for months .

@@treyxaviermusic I've been lucky enough to actually try one, here in this desolate little island I live in called the Philippines, and I think it's basically ruined most of the other guitars we have here for me. I think the only guitars that were anywhere close to how good that Mayones was was an EBMM Majesty and a PRS Custom 24.
How would you say it compares to a Kiesel Osiris? They look pretty similar looks-wise but I think I can plausibly save up enough for a used fanned-fret Osiris.

Does this have the built in power soak to run at 5w or 1w like the ironball and metalmaster heads?
Wonder how this compares with the Ironball 20? I had a Ironball for about 3 years and it was cool. It had 2 EL84 power tubes and 4 12AX7 preamp tubes. Okay, valves..lol

Actually the older ENGL Ironball amps have EL34 tubes well at least mine did. Also they changed the boost switches to buttons on your amp. Mine has clean boost and lead boost switch versus buttons.
It has EL84 (not EL34) and those kinda lack that low end thump.
@@TudorAdrian you're right I got confused. Still not bad amp for home practice. Hope they come out with a 6L6 smaller version 25 watt of the Savage then I'd sell my Ironball and get that.

Getting my 25 tomorrow with a vertical 2x12 Mesa boogie cab. I have an original Peavey 5150 with a 4x12 Mesa Large cab I bought back in I believe 2000. But it’s just way too damn loud.
How did that set up workout? I have a Mesa 2x12 vertical as well and can’t decide between the fireball 25 and iron ball se.
