Thank you so much for posting this! I'm moving to London from Seattle in December with my sweet 9 year old Shih Tzu, Winston. It's peace of mind that you'll love him and make him feel welcome after his long flight.
Sarah! Good on you for asking. It went alright, although we did get stuck for 6 hours. My vet did the most common US mistake and only put the provider name (Pfizer) and not the product name. It's a requirement that they have not only the batch number but the product name. I landed at 11a and with this, we would have been on our way at 12:30; without it, i was stuck until my Seattle based Vet opened at 3:30p and could send what was needed. We left for central London at 5:30. Long day and poor Winston was alone. He was properly cared for though. From Portugal; as long as they have the passport; should be easy.
@ajd226 so beside that problem everything went nicely? Do you think cats react the same way as dogs? Because dogs get really excited when they see us and that, but I'm afraid my cats may get afraid or traumatic with all of this time away from me, between flights and till I'm able to pick them up :X
Fab video - this and the 2014 one is about animals coming into the UK. If dogs are going out does anyone know if they are also in kennels before flight or kept in their crates?
