    Struck has been around for decades. Kind of surprised that the big lawnmower businesses haven't picked these up. They're solid and useful!

      No contractor will ever have one. Have you seen any? Guess why? No heavy equipment manufacturer will mfr one, ,even the Asian micro industry, Gooogle micro equipment. That thing is very limited. Wait till he hits a tiny tree stump or a rock the size of a softball. He'll be in for various repairs. Notice his is freshly new and painted.

    I really like how fast this dozer is. You surely built a dozer worth having. I know you said you didnt sell plans for this but if you did Iam sure there would be a lot of people including my self that would be glad to pay you for your time by buying them from you.

    That is very impressive. Most little dozers aren't nearly as capable of moving dirt. I have to say I was shocked at how well this one works.

    observation: If those at home need dirt pushed around you local "Sunbelt Rental" or similar has Deere s for a decent rental for the weekend. I'm a Deere 3320 owner and use the be geevies out of it.

    I like your dozer! I have seen a lot of homemade dozers on TH-cam and yours is probably the best I've seen. Strong, fast, capable, basic(no hydraulics) and looks like its the easiest to use as well. I'm a fan, would like to build one someday and will be.looking at yours for inspiration. Great build.

    That right there is one of the best machines of it's type I have ever seen. It actually appears capable of doing stuff. I bet it would be even better if you doubled + the motor HP, and added several hundred pounds. Do I understand correctly that you MADE the transmission? Also, I'm very impressed with the 4 way blade.

    • @itsruf1
      @itsruf1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It does push for sure but for snow/ loader work it is useless. 99% of the time you lift your load with the loader and discard over wherever. We also "backblade" alot which that could back blade an inch or so but it is push only. That's why job sites have a dozer for one day then the other machines show up.

    • @Tigerbube
      @Tigerbube  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Bernd, erstmal vielen Dank für deinen netten Komentar. Der Antrieb ist im Prinzip wirklich sehr einfach. Zwei übereinander liegende Wellen die seitlich von einer Rollenkette, wie eine Acht angetrieben werden und somit gegenläufig drehen. Dazu werden pro Welle zwei Keilriemen (ein Riemen pro Seite) locker über Riemenscheiben gelegt und die werden über die Steuerhebel ge-oder entspannt. Somit kann ich jede Antriebsseite vor oder zurückdrehen lassen. Zusätzlich habe ich für jede Seite eine Scheibenbremse montiert die ganz sanft, schöne Lenkbewegungen ermöglicht. Ich hoffe ich konnte ein wenig Licht ins Dunkel bringen.

    How much$$ do the Rubber Tracks Cost? I have a old Ford garden tractor with a 10hp Kohler engine and a REAL heavy duty 4 speed transaxle, and I want to build a small crawler tractor out of the Pieces. I will have 2 rear brake drums from a large american car for the skid steering. I was thinking of building the tracks from steel, but it is a LOT of Fabrication work! Those Chinese engines seem to be reliable. I have 3 of them being used in equipment, rototiller, pressure washer and a snowblower.

    Nice job it works very well
    How about making one electric like my electric garden tractor, and it could be charged by solar, zero pollution
    2hrs cutting approx 2 acres or 8-10 hrs pulling trailer on a charge
    Converting to battery power is a great idea for a garden tractor I converted one 15yrs ago, I used the 3 separate motor design and it is still cutting grass on a daily basis, it is amazing how it never breaks down and needs almost no maintenance, I renew the batteries every 7 yrs I am just on my 3rd set now, my design will cut up to 2 acres on a 50cent charge there are no belts or pulleys and no oil on the entire tractor, it can pull a trailer for about 8hrs on a charge, because battery run time is the most important aspect of most conversions I paid particular attention to the most efficient design, I used 3 separate small motors one for the drive with electronic speed control and two smaller with a cutter blade mounted on the shaft of each cutter motor ,total amperage when cutting grass is approx 40amps, (2000watts) this design only uses the battery power req to do the job, very little wasted battery power, it uses magnetic breaking of both tractor and cutter blades and automatically applies parking brake when you stop or get off the seat, an amazing tractor. electrictractor.net

      @@charlienorton2337 Any type of motor can be used power a bulldozer! electric motors are also rated in HP, Torque, and RPMs, same as gas engines so what would be the problem??

      Thank you for your worries ... but it's actually more comfortable as it looks ... and you just make it short. It's not a full-time job.

      @@Tigerbube No worries. I wasn't bashing it. I would love to have another tracked machine. I used to have to Struck MD50 dozers. But I sold them because the track chains were falling apart. And I was extra poor at the time. Do you have build specs on yours?

    observation: That pile ids staged for the video. It is loose/ loamy and dry. Which is seldom the case but makes for a video to impress people.

      Thank you for your comments. But where is your Problem? This "Thing" is commpletly Homemade and does not claim to be perfekt. But i think that it works very well for a do-it-your -self- product and looks also neat. What do your build yourself? Or do you only used finished industrial products?

    -1, rubber tracks 👎; my old mini dozer would have already tore up hundreds of them; it's about a 82 model STILL with its original shoes ; and this thing hasn't been sitting around that much niether

      Hy Calvin, then you probably have no experience with rubber chains .. Modern rubber chains have great properties, traction, smooth running, soil protection, etc. and an incredibly long service life. Almost every mini-excavator and many other construction machines up to military combat vehicles operate with rubber chains with great success. Just give it a try...
      Kind regards

    So it can push loose dirt around? Not exactly an amazing piece of machinery. Let's see it push virgin compacted soil with rocks! I'm guessing that won't happen though
