I just checked, here on Android it is the same situation, in today's citadelle war Dark Side has 3x the points of 2nd and more then 10x the points of the last place.
I play on mobile and PC and it's the same.

I love the new pvp and this new mode, but it would definitely be more fun if there was actually competition between the factions. I think they will figure out a way to balance it out more eventually
the idea of voting for the restrictions for the kingdom modifiers like what troops are restricted and which battle modifiers(mana potions/uber doomskulls ect) is fun, it just needs to be more competitive/balanced. I heard someone float the idea of percentage of victory based points system rather than cumulative points based system. i would happily switch without any penalty and if the teams were more balanced just to make things more interesting, i think they will figure out how to do it eventually
Yes things are bound to be changed at some point... weird how they never saw this kind of thing coming... UNLESS, that *is* the idea!

@@honestrob BREAKING NEWS: they just nerfed the gold mark rate to 11-14 per citadel down from 50. You still get an extra 100-150 per week if you hit all 10 bonuses. IDK if it would be higher if you were in a smaller faction. even this change might not be final, there's a lot of tweaks going on so who knows, but as it stands now only 11-14 gold marks. It's still extra gold marks so i'm not complaining. It sounded like ALOT to get 500 extra per week, but realistically if you bought random book of deeds with all your gold marks, it would still take a whole month of gold marks to level up one kingdom from 15 to 20(assuming all books were the same color) which still doesn't sound that overpowered to me, it's just barely a manageable rate up from an impossibly slow unattainable rate like it's been and is now once again.
@@w33d533d Yes I saw early this morning. The amount is basically what people should have been getting in the first place with amounts scaled downwards based on the size of the Alliance. Currently getting 17 Gold Marks from Central Spire and 13 from all others when the bonus is active. Still pretty good overall though I think. 🙂

No, Dark Alliance is more dominant. Probably on all platforms. But they'll be all "balanced " eventually, imo

I'm in the dark order but didn't know about the 50 gold marks till today. I've wasted a lot of opportunity to cash in.
Yes it has dropped now too due to the size of the Alliance. Still good rewards though overall 🙂
I'm staying with red alliance and am happy for this video. My plan is to wait until I am the last person in my alliance and collect my 1st place rewards
That was kind of my original plan, just not waiting to be entirely alone 😂😆! In the meantime I'll be grabbing those Gold Marks! 😀
Thanks. Couldnt seem to get anyone to confirm they are getting more gold marks. Finally got to centurion v at 220k vp points. And nothing. No bonus except to chat in a chat no one is chatting in anymore. No gold marks. How could the devs not realize this would happen?
Still has some small bugs about the place - it will be sorted in time no doubt. Been getting Gold Marks the next day from the Citadels won the previous day when active 🙂

It just makes sense. The past few days we've (TDO) been getting 50 gold marks from each citadel gained which results in hundreds over the week which is a lot more than you get from finishing 1st in a lesser active alliance. I think they're definitely going to change things so people will be forced to join different alliances as right now there's no reason why anyone wouldn't be in TDO. Despite the PVP battles being "harder", they're not that bad on the whole.
Oh, they're definitely going to remove the gold marks reward and make it pointless. Book of deeds are sold at a premium to whales. They don't want to just give them away.

@@honestrob Well it didn't last that long did it!!! But yet the game still "steals" turns when you get 4 matched gems!!! Don't get me wrong GAP was/is a great idea, still is a great event -- just PISS poor initial implementation. Alliances / Citadel wars great idea - hopefully it will eventually replace GWS. But once again Piss poor implementation. Maybe I am more upset about this because I for 20 years I was a software engineer, granted it was only on one platform and in one language, but if my team ever released patches/upgrades with as many issues that could have been prevented by just testing the code before releasing it, we would not of had jobs for long!!! Anyway, have a great day, and please continue to post your videos, I get a lot of good info from them and do try to pass your channel info to my guild members!!!
@@rposborn Cheers! The Gold Marks obtained now is essentially what we should have been getting in the first place, so the extra was a bonus! And yea - things are always buggy in this game when new things come along!!

If you ever run out of things to do (as if) suggesting a non mythic team for the various PvP citadels should keep you busy and help us poor unfortunates with almost few mythics. Why it it would only be an extra 10 videos a week - easy peasy 🙂
This kind of thing will be starting soon - but not in 10 different videos, and probably not 'no Mythic', as I need a good team to ensure PVP/Citadel wins and do not fancy doing all that twice with 'no Mythic' variants too, but I'll see! 🙂
I've switched to the Dark order. Think the Devs had tried to make something interesting and it can't be easy, but there are balance issues that will need addressing.

Yeah I joined them too. I realised there was no point in waiting until they balanced it, as they tend to take ages to change stuff, if they change it at all.

Yeah, I switched after one day. Even in the less popular alliances, there are still thousands of players, many of which are super competitive with money to burn, so chasing the top 3 never mattered to me anyway. You mention the extra 450-500 gold marks a week, but you'd have to spend a lot of money in order to do that, no? We only get 6 free citadel sigils a day. I'd have to spend $1.99 each time I wanted more.
P.S. Got a second Takshaka today from a gem chest! :)
No that 400-500 Gold Marks is by using FREE Sigils after the Alliance wins the Citadel War, and as on PlayStation this will be every single one, that is what can be achieved every week without spending any money. Nice one on Takshaka!! Amazing troop!!
I wouldn't pay for that. I've been at the top of my bracket in Pvp, having spent a stupid amount of time playing, only to wake up in the morning and find someone has passed me with double the points, and I could only overtake them by playing literally all day, if at all. There always seems to be someone else who's more determined xD
@@utalotharingia I won the old style PVP before just for the Gems of War bucket list thing. You can't have a 'small' lead - you have to go big - demotivate the chasing pack into thinking it's not worth it as you will NOT stop no matter what haha!!
I saw that it was all about numbers. The alliance with most players always will win the citadel. So I switched.

i see anti-rob conspiracy. i took your advice ... twice, joining the smaller wild horde and then switching to the dark. just hours after this video rewards have been nerfed (from what i can see on PC and android). HRob beware you're a mover and shaker and the devs are responding directly to your commentary
The Gold Marks being reduced was going to happen anyway as the amount received is supposed to be based on Alliance size, and scaled downwards with higher numbers in the Alliance. People getting more before was kinda a bug before it got fixed 🙂
What tier is it for the gold mark reward to start appearing?
I'm not certain I only just moved here and I lost the 10 Day bonus, if someone else can confirm that would be cool 🙂
Patch notes say Legionary VIII. Requires 2 days of loyalty.
@@imyourzero Cheers, must have missed them. I changed day 1 and have not noticed them. Only seen silver with a % boost.
I see, they still show as silver, but once you complete them you get the golds. Just have to keep track of what the citadel wars were.
They did greatly reduce the amount you get. 25 fights today to get 50 some gold marks. Supposedly it would have been 250 marks pre nerf.

It's based on Alliance size so is now what was intended - people getting more before was a bonus before it got fixed. Still good overall though I think!
