Nice, Super handy, I've always had to create the stroke, rasterize the text/image & use the wand to remove the stroke leaving a transparent background, this technique is going to save so much time, and time in the print on demand game is precious. 😎👍

I consume TH-cam a lot searching on how we can make these things more than designing itself. It's fascinating to find all what you need in 1 place from the POD business mindset to the design. Thanks, Juna. I appreciate it so much. I wish there was a good way to knock out outlined stuff. It knocks out the ouline, but the interior shows the sunset, and that's all kinds of whack. 🙂 I guess you just have to make sure you use solid shapes. BUT--this tutorial is great. I've been wondering how to do it. Thank you!
You are so welcome! You can knock out anything including outlined stuff... just use the erase feature
@@DetourShirts Right. It just looks weird with the sunset gradient showing through. 🙂 I'll play around with it though. Also will read your other comment and see if that sheds some light on it.

I don't use a cricut sorry... but I would guess you just export as SVG
Hey Juno. This is the video I was looking for. Erase isn't in my right hand panel. How do you add that group to the panel?
It should be in the layers panel and part of the filters drop down.... If you don't see the layers panel you may have to turn it on... go to View / Studio and check Layers
