I just found this video when i think to replace battery for my RC Tank too. But The real socket i changed to 3 pin socket, so i can use for charger and plug to tank
This is really like connecting to a parallel charge board. You aren't balance-charging each of the four cells, but rather, you are balance-charging two pairs. If one cell in a pair goes bad, you could still over-charge the other. Has this given you any problems? I am new at this, but my first attempt at a 2S2P pack was actually just a harness to connect two 2S1P packs so that each could be charged separately and all cells properly balanced. I'm new at this, and not sure how much of a hazard it is to balance pairs as in your setup or whether that is common practice.
No problems with this recycled pack still runs the RC tank fine. As there's no bms pcb this pack is always balance charger on my sky RC rs16 and hasn't given me any problems. Would be no different to any lithium pack with bms module. If the bms goes bad you still end up with dead cells on the low end and fire hazard on the high end.
I got the gist of it but shouldn't you just brought the negative from the bottom and use the positive at the top would you not get the same result if anybody knows thank you very much for the video
i tend to remove the wires in the block and place them so red is + and black is the - with yellow been middle just makes things simpler and less confusing for my self lol mainly i metled a few wired oops
Nina The Ambulance Camper if your looking to make the lithium cell Last as long as possible no more than half C. For example you have a 2ah cell. you only want to charge at 1A
Ok that's great thank you. I was more after the actual setting. Nimh/lipo/nicd etc. I've made the packs today. They are out of a laptop (HP) I'm pretty sure they are 2200mah each. I'm assuming the way the pack is made it's now 7v and 4400mah. So is it charged at 7v at 2a and under which program ?
pietkaify Thanks again, might sound a silly question, but do i plug the balance plug in and just set it to a 2s lipo ? The balance plug is a great idea to use the low voltage alarm by the way. Thanks for your vid, ive made two packs up with a Tamiya plug for my Tamiya Midnight Pumpkin.
Thanks for this video. So does that mean as well as 7.4V you also have double the capacity of one of those 18650s? Trying to figure out 2s2p for an arduino project.
nightmare in action nighmare in action Мine was welded in 2p, plus I'm wasted a lots of time for searching some wires around the home, solder, then looking for the gas because the solder was empty and etc... Will do some more packs, now it will be quick :)

i like your trick with the dremel to rough up the surface i got some of thew solar tabbing wire for battery packs it is brillent for the job
+David Simpson I found it out by accident because I did a couple of DIY panels "which didn't turn out so good!" I now have a fair bit in stock

Ah sorry. The imax doesn't have A Li-ion setting but the Li-Po charge function has the same settings needed.

That 'iron' is waaaayyy too small for soldering batt packs. get a 100w one.
