Lydia had bottle talking under interrogation to coppers like that. She was mad and vicious and sociopathic, but honestly quite ballsy as well. Wish they hadn't been so quick to kill her and Zoe off, or end their plotline in under a year--this could have been a gripping intense slowburn.
This arc worsened the vile stereotype about 'insane possessive jealous su!cidal stalker lesbians'. Not saying that lesbians are exempt from villainy or must be sweet and good characters; just that HO could have been less hardcore and gory, and less quick to wash their hands of this story. It was as if they wanted to write out the girls in the fastest, cruellest and most insensitive way they could.
Soaps were always like this with gay characters. Like…if it’s not one of them dying the minute they got together or one of them ends up being some sort of monster or there’s some kind of homophobic attack
