I’m So proud to see my fellow Nicas taking care of nature once again- All the organic food produce, (many produced locally) the almost zero wastage of raw materials, like plastics, and food packaging, and the fact that ecotourism is so promoted in these beautiful places not to mention the other beautiful places like: Ometepe 🌋 🌋 and Treecasa!🌲Gracias for showing this amazing Nica-German finca! It was more because of the weather. We were even using 'long johns' to sleep in. It was cold up there! There were mosquitos in the forest and you would get bitten if you stopped moving! We tend to wear long sleeves in Nicaragua as sun protection (useful when you don't have umbrellas! 😜 ). You will see locals in hoodies and long pants in 35C (95F+) heat too!

    From your travels in Nicaragua is English spoken there at all?

    • @BucketListTravellers
      @BucketListTravellers  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Ken, yes there are plenty of places that speak English here. You will find the most English friendly areas to be Granada, Leon and San Juan Del Sur. Our tour guide at Selva Negra spoke English, as well as the owner Mausi. In general, the further North and rural you go, the less English is spoken.

    • @Ketim123
      @Ketim123 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      English is also spoken in the Atlantic Coast of Nicaragua due to English settlers back in the 17th century. Notice the names of towns like Bluefields and Corn Islands. Also, the English brought slaves from Africa with them for their settlements to labor in, which is why there are a lot of blacks in that region as well. The area is really beautiful and people are really friendly. Their English sounds broken, kind of Jamaican English.
