About the rough roads - Jackson and Hinds County sit on Yazoo clay. The stuff is horrible. It contracts when it gets dry and expands when it gets wet. The stuff destroys roads and foundations that aren't built right and MDOT hasn't figured that out yet.
That I-20/I-55 concurrency is rough. Not only is it a ticking time bomb traffic wise, but the road is in such poor condition that it's beyond belief. It's one thing if they're doing nothing to update the freeway. But it seriously feels like somebody went out there with a jackhammer one night and actively tried to mess up the pavement on the road. It's just so weird.
Sacramento’s basically the same. However, they recently did repavement work on the 80 corridor at the Biz-80 Split. But nearing downtown however. It’s a different story. Ranging from Potholes, rough pavement, buckling, and of course the unavoidable congestion. It’s noticeable as you near Downtown, mostly on the Cap City Freeway past El Camino, and much of I-5 north of Sacramento.
Never Heard Of Yazoo City In Mississippi State B4 HMM 🤔 Very Interesting Intriguing 10:05
They're are currently in the process of resurfacing that stretch of I-20. Should be nicer soon. (I'm a local)
Nice ride along interstate 20 west in Jackson MS

Very simple, but extremely expensive solution: Elevate Interstate to bridge-like structure through west Jackson.

The segment from 8:39 forward has been repaved, at least in Jackson itself.

I'm sure you've answered this a million times, but do you travel for a living? How do you make so many of these videos?
Yep. Been doing this full time since September last year.
@@MileageMikeTravels sounds like the best job honestly. how do you like it?
From 15:25 through 15:45, you'll see the former WorldCom headquarters on the left.
I lived in Springridge Estates behind the WorldCom building when their world fell apart.
Mississippi roads in Jackson sound exactly like Florida roads depending on the highway and if u drive on another part it’ll sound like Texas roads
