- In this material introduction video, we talk about PVC laminates for furniture. You can also see application video showing bending and cutting of PVC laminates by our carpenter on one of our residential interior site on a drawer front. One can compare normal laminates VS PVC laminates by the information provided in this Ask Iosis video. We feel this product is still in its research stage and very few brands can guarantee the perfect seamless bend. EQ, Spell, Burga, Zurich are some of the companies which manufacture these PVC laminates. Please take confirmation from the vendor/ shop that the product is 90 degrees bendable. Before actual application on the furniture, once the product reaches the site we suggest you to try bending the laminate with a v groove at the edge along one inch of the full sheet for testing the finishing.
These can be used for kitchen laminates color combination, tv unit panel, wardrobe shutter laminates, bed edge.

Hi Nihara. Need one suggestion. What is your opinion on using PVC board for kitchen cabinet construction, like century strake 18 mm PVC board ? Is the PVC foam board and this board are synonymous. Do I need to laminate the inner surface of cabinet or not. What thickness do you suggest for cabinet ?
For laminates that crack on 90° bend can we try v slightly rounding the bend on the underlying wood? Will that work?.... on kitchen cabinet panels.

I found these visible joints or edges affect aesthetics, any examples or sample images o how you manage that will be of great help..

nice informative. I am using it in my new modular kitchen. Carpenter tried to bend it to 90 degree by using his normal cutter blade but he is spoiling PVC. where can I get special V-groove blade so that I can direct carpenter. Carpenter told me he has done in the past but he has no idea and he does not have special tools to make v-groove. please advise.

Can you please suggest me should I go for pvc sheet or acrylic sheet for my kitchen ? And what should be the maximum thickness preferred for kitchen bcz I have been talking to lot of vendors some said 2 mm is best and some said go for 3 mm then there is a concern about cracks if we go for higher thickness ?
