Despite having played top players like wei yi, abdussatorv and fabiano Caruana, Gukesh has much more better score than magnus carlsen. Also Gukesh havent lost a single game in this tournament, he drew one and won rest of them. So i think you know what im about to say (PS im also a fan of Magnus but currently there is no better player, in classical chess, than Goatkesh)

If I hadn't known from the title that Gukesh won, I would have thought from the early play that Gukesh lost. The position seemed an obvious draw to me, and bad things tend to happen when one plays for a win in a drawn position. But he had the confidence to assume that he would consistently play the optimal move and that his opponent would eventually play a move that gave him the flaw to pounce upon.
