    Great video! I was lucky to have scrawny arms and small childlike hands... was able to replace without removing the cover. 😅

      @@CamaroChris it sure will! She's starting to chirp already but it's off and on. The squeal gets louder with acceleration, do you think this is the cause?

      @@zbassr2106 I’m not really there to diagnose it, but that’s definitely where I’d start. Look and feel the belt, if it feels hard and has cracks in it that could be the problem.

    Anything special about replacing that idler wheel on the passenger wheel? Looks just like the tensioner wheel.

      The tools or the parts? The parts I got from RockAuto. The tools I’ve had for like 20 years, back when you had to shop at Sears. You can find Craftsman tools at Lowe’s, Ace, or Amazon now… I prefer Lowe’s, they have a bigger selection and they honor the warranty without fuss.

    Are you sure the torque spec is 43 ft lbs? Just snapped the upper bolt.

    • @CamaroChris
      @CamaroChris  ปีที่แล้ว

      I got my info from here…
      tighttorque.com/trucks/chevrolet/colorado-2
      I didn’t have any issues myself. This isn’t an official GM site though…

    • @CamaroChris
      @CamaroChris  ปีที่แล้ว

      This site also says 43ft lb
      chevy-specs.com/cars/2016/colorado3.6/torque-specs_engine.php
      But again, not GM…

    • @CamaroChris
      @CamaroChris  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Okay, I found the torque from the GM service manual to be 22 lb ft. Give that a try. Good luck and thanks for commenting! I'm going to edit the torque out of the video altogether and just update the video description with what I found as torque specs.

    • @Call_Call_Fold
      @Call_Call_Fold ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CamaroChris I looked at both the references you sent and I think they refer to the torque spec on the older style tensioner that was held on with one single bolt. That single bolt was larger than the newer style that uses two smaller bolts. Also the diagram in the second link shows the wrong belt routing and pulley setup. I’m not sure if it’s just a generic stock image or maybe a potential mistake. Hopefully someone can chime in to confirm or correct the number.

      @@CamaroChris you are amazing! Thank you! How about for the idler pulley? Some people do that at the same time too.

      I already have a video on it. It gets done for everything you do under the hood of the truck, so putting it in every video would be tedious for the viewer. Here’s a link to my video how to do it…
