Thank you, Klas Karlsson, for this fantastic symbol and the incredibly informative video! It was really helpful and insightful. Initially, I couldn’t find the 3D model option in my version of QGIS, but I realized it’s there after exploring further. Your explanation was top-notch and greatly appreciated!

Love the video, nice link between your previous FreeCAD video and QGIS. I was wondering though, could you not have digitized it using actual coordinates?

Yes you can. For more accurate data you can type in actual coordinates in QGIS to create "true" reference points.

Nice video Klas. Wouldn't it have been simpeler to export the qgis polygon as a dxf and then import it in freecad to pad it and transform it?

@@regix1964 dxf is a bit tricky. Shapes saved as DXF in QGIS don't always work in FreeCAD. All editing in QGIS could have been done directly in CAD, just by taking measurements from GIS (or the real world). The procedure in the video should not be taken too literal. It is mostly to showcase a few different technics in single context. Take from it, what you need, to improve on your own application.

I created my 3D building with Vectary. I suggest user that simple and powerful 3D web app.
