I had a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier who passed at the age of 13 this January, she was the best. I took her for her first haircut to Petco and hated it, all they did was shave her, I could have done that at home. I learned how to cut her myself, however never gave her a traditional Wheaten cut. I now have a three month old Wheaten. Your video is by far the best, I will be using your video as a tutorial to cut his hair. Thank You.

Hello, I used to groom my own Wheaton's for shows by scissor method which takes forever and has to be maintained constantly. After they retired from showing I tried to do everyday cuts with clippers but never really got the hang of it since I never had the proper training. I must say that this is probably the best example of grooming a Wheaton for everyday that I have seen! You should be very proud of that job. Beautiful. One question: do you use a Metrovac Air force type dryer? The reason I ask is that I always used these when grooming my dogs and I found that sometimes they seemed sensitive to the motor noise and I had to put cotton in their ears for them to settle down.
Good job! My groomer hates grooming my soft coated wheaten terrier because she’s got so many curls. She doesn’t enjoy grooming her, and would like to just shave my dog bald every time.

Yes I always use the bravura when doing a comb clip. They are much lighter and I do prefer it over the cordless clippers. Plus the bravura has the 5 in 1 blade so I don’t have to switch out blades. I only use my cordless clippers for shave downs. 🐶🙏🏼❤️
Thank you so much!!! I currently use km5s but wasnt sure if the bravura would be strong enough compared to the wahl red cordless ones. theyre alot cheaper also so win win i guess. I found the wahl cordless to be heavy!!

Sorry for your loss. Yeah it’s done groomers who shave them bald, because they don’t want to do the work.

WildCardAcres Wheaten’s were used to hunt rodents. That is why their traditional breed cut has long brows to protect their eyes.
